In the long and illustrious history of the Corvette, the first generation can be divided into three separate subdivisions. The final five years (1958 to 1962) saw the 'Vette transition away from being just a fun two-seater into a genuine sports car. One look at this fully repainted black 1959 Chevrolet Corvette, and it's easy to see why this car has been beloved by millions. With its beautiful black and chrome exterior motif, this car will turn heads anywhere it goes.
Inside, we find a stock and correct-appearing interior. Below the big half-moon speedometer sits a five-pot gauge cluster featuring a center-set tachometer, allowing the driver to crack off the perfect 1-2 shift without taking their eyes off the road. Under the 'Vette's signature front-hinged hood sits a transplanted 327 cubic-inch V-8 engine topped with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor before being sent out a dual exhaust system. Power from that motor is routed through a tried-and-true four-speed manual transmission and out to the rear wheels. Those wheels look amazing thanks to a trick set of polished American Racing Torq Thrust IIs shod in 255/55ZR-17 BFG rubber out back while a staggered set of 215/55ZR-17 tires handling steering duties up front.
