This 1972 Dodge Charger has an awesome style where it takes the classic features you love - including hideaway headlight - and adds a vibrant style and even more V8 power. It all makes for the kind of driver you really want a classic Mopar coupe to be.

Plum Crazy is one of the most iconic Dodge colors of all time. It wasn't available any longer in '72, but this Charger has the muscular lines that prove this kind of boldness should have been offered from the factory. In fact, this car shows off some of the best details of the era with the way the chrome bumpers hug the form and you have a true hardtop with no center pillar. It's all presented in the right way to look good without ever getting overdone to accuse a real driver like this of being a trailer queen. Plus, we especially like how the premium SE package complements the upgrades. The unique roofline gives more acreage on the c-pillar to show off the bold purple. The mean hidden headlight front end is a nice pairing with the black sports stripe. And the stripe this year is particularly nice to showcase because it starts under the windshield and follows the side sheet metal to accent just how long and curvaceous this design ... Description

383CI V8, 3SPD AUTO, PWR STEER/BRAKE, RUNS/DRIVES WELL, CLEAN & AFFORDABLE MOPAR

And the stripe this year is particularly nice to showcase because it starts under the windshield and follows the side sheet metal to accent just how long and curvaceous this design really is. The polished Torq Thrust wheels, wide dual exhaust tips, sport mirrors, and a hint of spoiler integrated into the design are all there to remind you why we love the muscle car era so much.

The black accents of the exterior are also a preview of the full black interior. This has a terrific mix of preservation and restoration. For example, you have the classic two rows of bench seats, but the upholstery has the fresh feeling of a solid investment. The carpet and headliner are like-new, too. Those who like vintage details will appreciate the wood-like trim on the doors and steering wheel, and this even appears to have been a stock A/C car - most of the components were removed for the sake of power. And speaking of power, the full Thunder Road gauge panel upgrade with large speedo and tach get you ready for something fun under the hood.

The engine bay shows off another great feature this should have always had. Just like the special paint, the 383 cubic-inch V8 was no longer available in 1972. So this coupe rectifies that mistake by delivering a performance-built version that also has a tidy style. This has a Demon 725 CFM four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer 383 aluminum intake, Mickey Thompson finned valve covers, and long tube headers feeding glasspack-style mufflers. And the mild cam gives the full package the right power and rumble. While this is a muscle Mopar, this likes being a great all-around cruiser, too. There have been investments in newer components, like the starter and heater core. And the V8 starts, idles, and runs with a feeling of quality. The A727 Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission has a stout construction but smooth operation. There's also power steering, power brakes with front discs, and modern sport tires to give you an easy time behind the wheel.

Complete with maintenance records, this is a terrific balance of history, style, power, upgrades, and driver-ready finish. Don't miss this all-around awesome Charger. Call now!
