This 1982 Jeep CJ5 is a sharp-looking classic 4x4 with a great black and white style. Of course, what you'll really like is the solid investments in making sure this classic continues to be a capable off-road machine.
You know this off-roader means business the moment you lay eyes on it. It has an intensity that's as clear as black and white...literally. The white paint is quite complete and is the right mix of looking clean but nothing fancy. So it looks good in town and even better when it's getting muddy! The real purpose of the white is to cleanly showcase all the rugged features done in contrasting black. You have a strong steel front bumper with auxiliary lights, a tubular rear bumper, and renegade-style fender flares. There are even some nice black accessories like the front tow bar, soft side doors, and a bikini top. Plus, the lifted suspension and bright 15-inch American Racing wheels add to the flair and the off-road prowess. Overall, it's an attractive CJ where the aim is about being a driver-ready and driver-quality package that's fit for carefree outdoor use.
Inside, the white returns on the dash, but now the black is the main color. You have nice details that add style ... Please ask for the full description.

You know this off-roader means business the moment you lay eyes on it. It has an intensity that's as clear as black and white...literally. Overall, it's an attractive CJ where the aim is about being a driver-ready and driver-quality package that's fit for carefree outdoor use.
Inside, the white returns on the dash, but now the black is the main color. You have nice details that add style and ruggedness, like the full liner pint floor and updated Bestop front bucket seats done in a durable vinyl. A proper roll bar with front shoulder belts is a nice feature. Plus, the grippy steering wheel, tilt column, tall shifter, and upgraded auxiliary readouts give you a commanding driving position. There's even a center console that comes with the sale.
Jeep's 4.2-liter inline-six has the tough-as-nails attitude you want in a rugged machine. It has a clean and stock style where you can tell the investments here were just about retaining a hardy heart. It even shows the right signs of being rebuilt about halfway through its life thus far. There are also nice investments in supporting components, too, like a newer battery and a restored gas tank with a new sending unit. The 4x4 transfer case was even resealed within the last year. The four-speed manual transmission gives you firm control out on the street or on trails. This CJ is always ready for true 4x4 duty with the 6-inch Rough Country lift kit and deep tread on the Wild Country tires. Plus, features like power steering and front disc brakes are handy every time you're behind the wheel.
We like this CJ for what it represents. You may want to update the bushings, add even more off-road components, get a full soft top for the included frame, or other details that make this an even better feeling 4x4. But that's all part of the beauty of a well-priced Jeep and such a large aftermarket. And you can already tell that hard work has been invested in this one to provide hardy off-road fun from day one.
