There are authentication letters from the COPO Connection and General Motors, and the trim tag may be a reproduction. The paperwork provided is not only how this one can be understood that it is a real-deal COPO, but it also adds to the exceptional rarity. Yenko, Nickey, and Berger were all big names selling COPO Camaros in the USA, and even to call them "big" names means they had a handful. The paperwork shows that this one was initially sold in Canada. So the VIN and some factory packaging are distinct. And while we all know far fewer muscle cars ever made their way north of Detroit, this was sold in Sarnia, Ontario - only about an hour north of Motown. So it's not hard to imagine that in its first years this now fully restored coupe dropped down to Woodward Ave on a warm summer night to teach a few lessons before retreating back over the border.

The interior continues the quality investment. The bucket seats look and feel fresh, and the same goes for the headliner, door panels, carpeting, and dash pad. You'll love the vintage details, including the working dome light, Delco AM radio there for display, and a touch of wood-like trim on the dash and steering wheel. And since this is a Canadian car, of course, the heater is working. But your favorite feature is going to be the Hurst shifter that puts you in full control of the monster under the hood and its high-octane soundtrack.

More than just filling the engine bay with the massive V8, this one really gets the details correct, right down to the hose clamps and classic-style Delco battery topper. At the center is the mighty 427 cubic-inch big block. It was never officially offered by Chevrolet in the Camaro, and why this required a COPO order. It's what makes these so desirable, and this one shows all the right signs of being the original L72 powerhouse! It has all the correct main components, like the big Holley 4346 four-barrel carburetor, Winters intake, and the gasket that seals the air element to the cowl induction to feed all of this cool/fresh air. The big block fires up with a terrific rumble that announces this is a special machine. You have complete control over this ultimate muscle car with a stout Muncie M22 four-speed that's a VIN match to the car. Stopping is even well in-hand thanks to power brakes with discs up front.
