The classic style of this 1983 Mercedes-Benz 380SL is timeless. When Mercedes redesigned its famed SL in 1971, there was a lot of equity behind it. After all, when the incomparable 300SL Coupe and Roadster were built only just 20 years before, they set the world on fire. The result was a luxurious V8 Convertible that ended up being the longest passenger car series ever produced by Mercedes to date. Despite its age, the SL remained a prized automotive status symbol and an iconic part of the brand's lineup until it was finally replaced by the all-new fourth-generation SL in 1990. Launched in 1980, the 380SL convertible retained the Type 107 bodyshell first introduced in 1971 in virtually unchanged form apart from the addition of a front spoiler.

This 380SL has had the best of care and it shows both in its exceptional condition and in its service records. The previous owner of this classic was a perfectionist and spared no expense to maintain the car to the highest standards.
