STOUT 454 BIG BLOCK V8, 4-SPEED MANUAL, PWR STEER/FRONT DISC, DUAL EXHAUST, COOL

This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu is meant to be noticed. Not only do you have vibrant orange paint on this hardtop, but also a performance-built big block with a four-speed to go with it. There are even cutouts in case you want them to hear you coming!

The 1966 Chevelle was updated to get us into the muscle car era. A firmly ceased eyebrow up front, rear fenders bulging upward, flying buttresses on the c-pillar, and taillights hooded by the extended fenders all made a substantial statement. And this one shows it distinctly. The attention-grabbing orange paint you see on this car is an upgrade later in life. In fact, the Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic color was borrowed from a C7 Corvette, and it has a clean look from an application that's only about a year old. And that wasn't the only Vette inspiration. The blackout hood draws your attention to the Stinger style from the C2. It signaled a Sting Ray with a big block, and that applies to this Chevelle, too. Good body lines, bright chrome bumpers, a straight grille, and clean glass are all part of an attractive style. But this coupe is not trying to be a museum piece. After all, the competition-style Torq Thrust wheels with a ... Please ask for the full description.

After all, the competition-style Torq Thrust wheels with a larger rear set give this a true street machine stance.

Inside, the black looks great against the vibrant orange, and it really gets you in the mood for speedy business. You may feel like adding a radio or other personalization, but details like the trim in the seats and clean trunk mat really highlight a detailed level of an investment in quality. This is a great driving setup with classic features like front bucket seats, a dual-spoke Chevy steering wheel, and a smooth dash as long as the horizon. There are also the right upgrades. For example, you have a cleanly installed Bosch auxiliary gauge trio, and that white and chrome appearance goes well with the Hurst floor shifter. And you just know four-speed cars put you in the best control for maximum fun.

The smooth inner walls of the engine bay showcase a tidy motor in the middle. This was the era of the 396 cubic-inch big block, and so the callout on the motor tries to look era-correct... but it doesn't take much to see this is really a fully upgraded package. For starters, you're actually looking at a larger 454 cubic-inch V8 block. It has been bored over for 461ci total and given an aggressive cam. It also has a Holley four-barrel carburetor, GM Winter's intake, and headers for a terrific power package. And there are nice supporting components like the large aluminum radiator, newer fan, finned Moroso valve covers, an HEI distributor, and an MSD ignition. It fires up with a wicked growl, but any time you really want to bring the thunder, a toggle switch under the dash opens up the electric cutouts for a brutal sound. The story we're told on this is that it was under long-term ownership by a gentleman who was also taking his time to restore this car correctly. He sold it before completion, but it was finished with care. That's why even the undercarriage looks so clean. So the total package is a mean car that also feels solid out on the road. And features like power steering, power brakes, and front discs make for an easy cruiser, too.

This is the iconic hardtop built for added power and bolder style. That makes for a truly irresistible muscle car. Call today!!!
