This 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS like this is truly an interesting vehicle. It is one of the sleekest and sportiest versions of a classic personal coupe. And this example is believed to be a local three-owner car with low mileage. It was even given some recent investments (including the paint) to keep it an all-around attractive coupe.
This Monte Carlo was sold only about 80 miles from our showroom. The first two owners were family, and they held onto this one for over 30 years. So this is believed to be a local car that has been treated as a member of the family. And the third owner did right by it, too. He invested in a refresh of the factory silver paint. It's believed that the odometer reflects the full actual mileage. So that would mean averaging about only 2,100 miles annually. The whole presentation is done well with the NASCAR-inspired aerodynamic front end, bold red SS decals, and good-looking factory alloys.
The gray fabric interior was a good choice in this SS. It's a complementing color to the exterior.
The seats, door panels, and headliner look particularly well presented for a quality fundamental look. The front buckets provide good bolstering, but still give the same all-day comfort you expect in any Monte Carlo. Plus, there's a center console for added relaxation. It's a luxury performance car, so you get plenty of comfort features, including power windows, power locks, electric rear defogger, cruise control, and an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo. The original air conditioning has been adapted to modern R134a for easy servicing and a longer life. The driver faces a black factory performance steering wheel with a bold SS horn ring. It's on a tilt column to get a good view of the sporty full gauge package, including tach. And it's all set in a dash that has cool aggressive red streaks running through it.
On a classic with a known history, it's nice to lift the hood and see the numbers-matching 305 cubic-inch V8. We have been told there has been a proper investment here, including work on the four-barrel carburetor and an aluminum radiator. So it's a strong runner with plenty of old-school muscle car torque. Linked to a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, this classic is also a fantastic highway cruiser. The suspension is tuned to be entertaining but you can still feel this car's luxury coupe origins underneath, so it's great for road trips. It even has power steering, power brakes, front discs, and newer BF Goodrich T/As to keep you in firm control.
Complete with build receipts, this is the well-respected classic coupe that makes for a solid all-around cruiser today. So at a price like this, you know you need to hurry on this deal. Call now!
