NICELY RESTORED RESTOMOD, 340 V8, 3-SPEED AUTO, PWR STEER/4-WHEEL DISC, COOL!!

This 1966 Plymouth Barracuda Restomod is beautifully stock on the outside, has plenty of custom comfort in the A/C interior, and there's a potent V8 upgrade under the hood. But the overall appeal here is the dedication to a high-quality restoration that makes for such a well-done classic coupe.

Plymouth was responsible for one of the most interesting cars on the road for the mid-60s. It combined a great hardtop profile, fastback style, and the largest wraparound rear window anyone had seen. It also has some of the most interesting sheet metal lines, and you can see it all so well here because this coupe is quite crisp and clean. It was bought as a project car and underwent a multi-year restoration. The owner had always wanted one of these distinct Barracudas, and you can see in the overall execution that his priority was quality over price. There's a beautiful glow to the factory-correct light blue paint, the panels have the crisp lines of quality, and the chrome bumpers and full trim have a terrific shine.
You can only see the slightest signs of this being responsibly driven during the few years since it completed the full restoration. Instead what really stands out is a dedication ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

Instead what really stands out is a dedication to factory-style on the outside - right down to the color-matched steel wheel with stock wheel covers.

The darker blue interior is quite stylish against the light blue exterior. The upholstery, carpeting, headliner, clear gauges, and dash have a quality look. The whole presentation has a nice vintage style, right down to the working dome lights and fold-down rear seats. But you can also tell this was made for modern driving. There are modern conveniences like a cup holder center console, Kilmat insulation, an AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth, and cold-blowing air conditioning. And this was built to be a better driver with a Lokar-style floor shifter, auxiliary readouts, a prominently mounted AutoMeter tach, and a wood-rimmed Grant sports steering wheel mounted on a tilt column.

Under the hood is a terrific upgrade. The lucky Plymouth fans in 1966 got the 273 cubic-inch V8, and that ignited a power war with the rest of The Big Three that evolved into some heavyweight V8 muscle. This one takes advantage of time and upgrades this to the next generation's power. The 340 cubic-inch V8 fits nicely under the hood. Everything from the smooth inner walls to the classic air grabber gives you the right vintage Mopar style. But as you dig a little deeper, you see it's an upgraded full performance build. We have a $4k receipt from 2019 documenting the block bored .030 over, upgraded heads, and an upgraded cam. It inhales deeply with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with added power from wrapped long tube headers. And we bet you spotted the best in supporting components, too, like the upgraded billet pulleys of the serpentine belt system, an MSD 6AL ignition, an Optima red top battery, and a Champion aluminum radiator with electric fans. So you can tell it's a powerhouse that was made to be fully enjoyed. As you look underneath, there are fresh suspension components everywhere from the upgraded front control arms to the rear sports shocks. So it makes for a confident driver. We have a receipt showing the three-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt in 2021 to include a 2600 stall and this feeds a 3.23 rear end with Moser Engineering axles. It makes for a solid performer along with power steering, wide BF Goodrich T/As, and upgraded four-wheel power disc brakes. And your choice between Walker Quiet Flow mufflers or bypassing them with electric cutouts means you get to enjoy your ideal V8 soundtrack on demand.

The sale comes complete with the factory buildsheet, original warranty card, build receipts, and restoration photos. This Barracuda was a labor of love, and the proof is in the detailed style over every inch. So if you want power and comfort wrapped around a distinct show-ready classic, you know you need this Mopar in your garage. Call today!!!
