STRONG 396 BIG BLOCK V8, 3-SPEED AUTO TRANS, POWER FRONT DISC, DUAL EXHAUST!!!

This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro has the cowl hood, SS upgrades, and stance of a mean machine. So it's nice to know you've also got a big block lurking under the hood to back up this forceful presence.

A first-generation Camaro upgraded with a super-scoop cowl hood, front air dam, and rear spoiler always looks sporty from all angles. And the updated 15-inch rally wheels and raised white letter tires give this a true sporty stance. The maroon paint is an upgrade later in life, and it has a metallic element that goes well with the shine from the chrome bumpers. So it all makes for an attractive package that gets the first-gen Camaro style right. It's a car that's meant to be driven, and so it doesn't approach a concourse-level of fit and finish. But if you are the kind of person who enjoys a morning at cars & coffee and then carefree driving all afternoon, then you can understand why this one is fun.

The dark tone of exterior burgundy goes well with the black interior. The headliner, carpeting, dash pad, door panels, and seats all have the right look of quality. There are even cool details like the working dome light, headrests, and correct trunk mat. And because this is built to be a ... Please ask for the full description.

And because this is built to be a driver, you can feel that the focus is on you. There are front bucket seats, a center console in-between, the horseshoe shifter, a classic three-spoke sports steering wheel, and upgraded oil pressure and temp readouts under the dash.

The smooth inner walls of the engine bay funnel your attention to the bold Chevy Orange big block in the middle. This 396 cubic-inch V8 is built right with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, Moroso polished valve covers, an MSD 6A ignition, MSD billet distributor, and long tube headers feeding into the dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. This is set up more to be a cruiser right now, but you just know the fundamentals are there if you want to do a little tuning and unleash an asphalt-eating muscle car. And no matter if you want to be a cruiser or a bruiser, the stout but smooth TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and 12-bolt rear end are exactly the kind of pairing you want to confidently get the power to the ground. Power steering, power brakes, front discs, rear traction bars, and wide BF Goodrich T/As make for a solid total driving package.

We love the first-gen Camaro coupes, and this is a true driver with some extra SS personality. You may feel like updating the body or adding a new stereo system, but the heart of the appeal here is that this has a well-placed big block and the right equipment to put some serious power to the pavement if you want to take it in that direction. So it makes for an appealing icon, especially for the price. Call today!!!
