This 2001 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SLP Firehawk 10th Anniversary edition is a mouthful to say, and that's because it's a rare, stunning, and speedy machine. After all, you get one of the coolest color combinations around, and it's done on a 335 horsepower and a six-speed machine. So you already know this is an awesome low-mileage T-top modern classic.
There weren't many more aggressive-looking cars in the early 2000s than the Pontiac Trans Am, but the specialists at SLP Engineering really turned it up a notch with the Firehawk. The aggressive hood with heat extractors, Firehawk graphics, and new spoiler make this a more aggressive T/A. So the SLP cars are already a sought-after machine, even before you recognize that this is a rare 10th Anniversary package. This was the only time you could get it in black with the gold accents that will make people think you have a Bandit car. It's a complete look with SLP rear racing stripes, exclusive badging, added front stripes that highlight the slope of the hood and large air intakes. And those golden 17-inch wheels with special Firehawk center caps are an especially nice touch. This package was absolutely rare with less than 285 anniversary ... Description
This package was absolutely rare with less than 285 anniversary cars produced, and when you look at options, that number gets this one down to less than one of 75 ever made! Even if this wasn't a low-production coupe, you'd still desire it simply because the sleek styling has the glossy finish of a well-respected car that has averaged less than 2,800 miles annually.
This low-mileage feeling is also reflected inside this with a tan leather interior that's highly stock and well-preserved. And since this is the kind of car you'll be showing off at shows, it's easy to showcase this interior thanks to the T-tops. Of course, a coupe like this is also an excellent driver. That's why there are front bucket seats, a center console in-between, and your chair even power adjusts to the ideal position. There's a multi-function steering wheel on a tilt column to give you a commanding view of the gauges, and your right hand will love the Hurst shifter. This has all the best features, like power windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, cruise control, dual airbags, ABS, and the premium Monsoon AM/FM/CD stereo with seven-band equalizer. And while those T-tops know how to put wind in your hair, the air conditioning knows how to make sure it's always a cool breeze.
Under the hood is the LS1 fuel-injected V8. These SLP cars were part of the factory option sheet, so it's easy to say this presentation remains stock even with the special air intake that increases the power over the other T/As. The six-speed manual transmission makes for both a desirable collectible and a great driver. Plus, SLP cars are known to be terrific enhanced handlers. As you look underneath, you're going to spot some great pieces. The front crossmember appears to still have factory markings, and the rear end is an upgraded stout Strange Engineering S60 piece (the original optional Auburn rear end also comes with the sale.) Add in features like power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes, and it's easy to enjoy this Firehawk for any trip.
This is the rare 10th anniversary Firehawk T/A that has an awesome style and loaded with all the best features. So if you're looking for true collectible distinction, don't miss this special bird. Call now!
