The exterior of the '70 Chevelle is iconic, and so the Super Sport style was upgraded with care to look correct. The blacked-out grille, SS badging on all sides, and mag-style wheels with raised white-letter tires all look clean and correct. It's also supported by the right pieces, like upgraded pulleys on a serpentine belt system, an MSD 6Al-2 ignition, billet hood hinges, an Optima battery, and a Be Cool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The Hedman Elite long tube headers add even more power while also contributing to the rumble of the X-pipe dual exhaust. A stout TCI TH400 three-speed automatic transmission handles this big power as it feeds the 12-bolt rear end. Take some extra time to look at the undercarriage photos. There you'll see a full QA1 Level 2 handling suspension kit. This includes strong front control arms, box steel rear arms, thick sway bar front & rear, and QA1 coilovers all around.
