289 V8, 3SPD TRANS, A/C, GOOD COLOR COMBO, RUNS & DRIVES WELL, VERY GOOD DRIVER!

This 1965 Ford Mustang is all about distinction. It has a seldom-seen factory-correct color, proper 289 power, stick shift, a comfy A/C interior, and the overall appeal of a first-year pony car. So dig into the details of a total package classic that likes to stand out from the herd.

The factory-correct Ivy Green gets noticed. It's not a common sight, and this retains a good gloss that makes it nice to take this coupe out on a sunny Sunday. And besides, dark green first-gen Mustangs always have a little bit of Bullitt attitude. And the styled steel wheels and bright dual exhaust tips lean into this sporty feeling, too. But the true appeal is that there's an overall feeling of quality in the presentation of this one. It was even originally a Charlotte DSO car, and so over 55 years later, and this classic is still selling out of its home territory.

This is a car that was made to be enjoyed, and the interior really proves it. You have the fundamentals down with a clean black setup, and even the trunk has a proper mat and full-size spare. But it's the upgrades that you'll really love. In-between the front bucket seats is an armrest center console with cup holders. There's also a ... Please ask for the full description.

There's also a custom under-dash console with an AM/FM/CD stereo and auxiliary gauge trio. You even have an upgraded vent system with cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. The steering wheel is the classic three-spoke Mustang sports unit, but beyond that you have a large tach to go with your factory gauges. And that's a nice pairing with the Hurst shifter.

This is a C-code coupe, and so it's great to lift the hood and see a correct 289 cubic-inch V8. It even has the right style with the gold air grabber and matching valve covers. But you can also see from the condition of the belts, wires, and hoses that this has been given more recent investments to remain a driver's car. That's why it also starts up easily and accelerates smoothly. This is the kind of classic that likes to really give you a feel for the road. But that also doesn't mean missing out on the right features, like the control of the three-speed manual transmission and modern Hankook tires.

This is the first-year Mustang of distinct that also loves to hit the road. So if you want to enjoy the drive and get noticed, this is the one. Call now!
