Here's a classic SUV with great looks, great features, an overdrive transmission, and proper V8 power. So this 1972 GMC Suburban 4x4 is exactly the right machine for work, play, and everything in-between.
The sleek paint and bright chrome make a nice first impression. But also take some time to appreciate the details of this one. For example, the lifted stance is part of a true usefulness, and we rarely see these looking so rugged or with a genuine 4x4 drivetrain. Those ProComp wheels are even the HD 8-lug units. So it's both stylish and quite nice to know this is practical enough to use for places like the boat ramp. The squared-off hood melts into a rounded fender line that runs the full profile of this pickup. And you see this so well because there has been a solid investment in giving this SUV a quality respray. The bright blue and white roof is a truly classic style to go well with the classic lines.
The interior has a classic style mixed with modern appeal. For starters, it's terrific two roomy wide rows of bench seats where there are also comfy cloth inserts for where you sit.
Up front, the updated GM steering wheel is on a tilt column, and you have all the essential gauges - including a tach. There are also some good cruiser upgrades like a later mode AM/FM digital tuner with cassette and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it's a desirable front and rear system, but it will need servicing to blow cold again.) But what's the most fun about this are the vintage details. We like how the rear only has a curb-side door (for safety sake) but still has proper roll-down windows on both sides. And there are nice touches everywhere from the western-style pattern of the door panels to the useful two-piece tailgate.
Under the hood is a stout small block V8. This 350 cubic-inch motor has had some nice updates over the years, like headers, an Edelbrock intake, and an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor on top. It's all about being a package that delivers solid power to a driver-ready classic SUV. A stout V8 like this is great in a go-anywhere 4x4 - especially with the two-speed transfer case, tall stance, and newer Nexen all-terrain tires. But more than just an off-roader, this is also an easy cruiser thanks to power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.
This is the classic SUV that packs usability and versatility within a vintage style. So don't miss this 4x4 Suburban. Call today!!!
