16,144 ACT'L MILES, 5.7L V8 & 4SPD AUTO, VERY CLEAN IN/OUT, INCREASING IN VALUE!

With only a few years in production, LT1 Corvette power, and a cool full-size appearance we hadn't seen since the muscle car era, we all knew cars like this 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS would be classics. So we're all on the lookout for exceptionally preserved examples. That's why you should check out the full package here, right down to the ultra-low miles and shining factory paint on this preserved SS. It proves this has been cherished from day one.

The odometer really sets the tone for this car. Averaging less than 700 miles annually, means that each of the three previous owners all loved this Chevy correctly. That's why the factory Dark Cherry Metallic is still a peach of a paintjob. It's a color you'll really enjoy because it looks almost black at night, but then the red comes out in the sunlight. And the way the light evenly rolls across this whole car really gives this the kind of quality impression where some people may not believe that this modern classic is approaching the quarter-century mark. Everything on this one is neatly preserved and in excellent condition: from the urethane bumpers to the brightly polished 17-inch alloys. They did upgrade the Chevy bow tie leading ... Description

They did upgrade the Chevy bow tie leading the way, but quite frankly, the bold red in the middle of the dark grille is exactly how they should have made them from day one.

Gray leather, bucket seats, and a center console do a great job of making this full-size Chevy also feel like a premium performance car. And this special interior is ready to show off, because the nearly impossible low mileage also means there was hardly any seat time. Not only is it an exceptionally preserved time capsule, but it's also loaded, too. Cruise control, power windows power locks, power mirrors, a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo, tilt steering column, and ice-cold air conditioning are part of this upper-class Impala. Plus, this one also has the desirable Preferred Equipment Group that includes dual power seats, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and Twilight Sentinel headlights. But more than luxurious, the Impala SS is one of the final few performance vehicles that has room for all your family and friends. Road trips are even easy for this one (if you feel like adding to the low odometer) because of the huge trunk.

The Impala SS is a true legend thanks to the Corvette's LT1 V8, and this looks to be the original powerhouse. This is exceptionally stock, right down to the decals. But you can also spot the upgrade of a K&N cold air intake. It's a reminder that even a low-mileage stunner like this was made to be driven. After all, the fuel-injected LT1 fires up easily like a modern machine should, idles smoothly for around-town use, and has a freight train worth of power to unleash the moment you prod the accelerator. The four-speed automatic transmission is there to provide the right balance of overdrive comfort and quick kick-downs into performance. The suspension has been upgraded over the Caprice to handle the extra power with ease, and if you look at the undercarriage, you'll spot what appear to be factory markings as well as upgraded Hotchkis pieces. It also comes with power steering, ABS, BF Goodrich gForce tires, and four-wheel power disc brakes.

Here's a great modern classic in the grand tradition of large muscle cars. This kind of legacy is backed up by original documentation such as the owner's manual and window sticker. This is one of the most unique cars of its era, and it has been preserved to be a benchmark for the few others out there. Call now!
