GORGEOUS COVERTIBLE VETTE, 427 TRI-POWER V8, 4-SPEED MANUAL, PS, PB, SIDE PIPES!

This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette has the dream car wish list, including the numbers-matching 427 big block, factory tri-power, growling side pipes, and four-on-the-floor to control it all. And the VIN makes this one of the earliest examples you may ever find.

Monza Red is a terrific factory color to have, and it was only offered for two years. This was refinished later in life as part of a comprehensive restoration. You can tell the quality of the work by the well-fitting body panels and the way the glossy red loves to show them off. Bright chrome bumpers, a correct-style white convertible top, a sharp-looking big block hood w/callouts, and classic-style Firestone Wide Oval tires complete a detailed vintage package. And we know exactly why this one was worth the extra investment. The VIN on this one is going to get you excited. It shows this is car #7 off the line. That puts it in the model year's pilot production era, and with all those zeros ahead of it, we bet you're hoping 007 is a personal license plate that's still available. Also, don't forget that the C3 launched the Stingray name as one word, and it was not applied to the 1968 cars. Thus, unless you can locate one of the few ... Please ask for the full description.

Thus, unless you can locate one of the few earlier VIN numbers, this can be considered the oldest "Stingray" around. This early car is also could be the first ever C3 with factory side pipes.

While the white roof is attractive, a convertible is meant to be open to the world. And the red-on-red color combo the interior gives this a true red-blooded American a sophisticated style. The restoration kept an eye on making sure this had a period-correct style, including nice details like the headrests and Delco AM/FM stereo. But you can also tell the investment here wanted to keep this looking sharp with features like newer carpeting and seat covers. This Stingray was built to be a true driver's machine. That's why the tilt steering column helps give you a clear view to the large speedo and tach, and the full auxiliary gauge setup is directly to the side at eye-level. And the bright stick shift is just calling out to your right hand.

Under the hood is the numbers-matching 427 cubic-inch V8. And while the displacement alone will have you excited, this was also born a true L68 convertible. That means a snowflake intake and proper triple set of Holley dual-barrel carbs under the iconic triangle air topper. In fact, the presentation on this original motor is one of the most authentic styles we've seen in quite some time. So it really goes with this car's special history. This is a monster motor, and so the side pipes let loose a ferocious roar. The perfect pairing to this is the updated Muncie four-speed manual transmission that allows you to take full advantage of the big power and the thunderous soundtrack. It may be a beastly machine, but it's quite easy to tame with power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, and the fully independent sports suspension.

This is the significant and stunning classic that lets you claim the earliest of Stingrays in just about any crowd. That's why you know this big block drop-top is irresistible. Call today!!!
