This 1940 Ford Tudor Sedan walks a fine line between sleeper and all-out hot rod. You have a great classic steel body with plenty added flair. The interior has been customized for comfort and showmanship. And underneath it all is a healthy Blueprint V8 and convenient features like an overdrive transmission. So while the total package can't fit under just one definition, you also know there is something very cool about it all.
This Tudor really is a great place to start when adding speedy style. After all, this classic steel was formed into a fastback-like profile. This one turns the vintage lines into true flair with a more modern metallic blue paint that loves to radiate off every curve - especially those swoopy fenders. There's plenty of shine on the brightwork to give you a great classic feeling. And it even shines bright at night thanks to upgraded LED headlights. We're told the history on this one was that is spent some time in the early 1980s as a drag racer. So this has a great custom blacktop burner vibe with the smoothe wheels, whitewall tires, hint of a lowered stance, and frenched license plate in the rear. And the way the exhaust tips just peek out of the running ... Please ask for the full description.

And the way the exhaust tips just peek out of the running boards is pure hot rod cool.
The interior is more of that street machine style, and so you have something more comfortable, bolder, and better detailed than anything that came out of the 1940s. It starts with a nice pair of low-back bucket seats up front. It's done in blue with a tuck-and-roll style white insert. The rear seat and side panels were even done to match. Plus, you've got terrific white piping surrounding it all, including the center console. It's all done in marine-grade vinyl to be durable and easy to clean. There are more thoughtful details, like the clean glass with good rubber surrounding. This has modern comfort with upgrades like AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input and provisions for R134a air conditioning (likely just needs a charge to blow cold again.) And because they took the time to upgrade this Ford, they also made sure it was a more driver-focused machine. That means a sports steering wheel mounted on a tilt column, Lokar floor shifter, crisp VDO gauges, and a tach prominently mounted on top of the dash.
Since this was a former quarter-mile king, the motor is really the centerpiece. You've got a great tidy setup with a ton of shine everywhere from the compressor to the finned valve covers. But what we really love is the custom painted air grabber that has a classic hot rod style with plenty of pinstriping. And as you dig deeper, you're going to love the substance behind the style. This is a BluePrint crate engine installed only a few years ago. They are known for their powerful and hardy packages, and this one also includes a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock high-rise intake, and long tube headers custom-made to fit the side exhaust. Plus, you'll spot all the right supporting components such as MSD billet distributor, MSD coil, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. So you really have a strong all-around package. The upgrade to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission means a stout unit that gives you better ratios to take advantage of the upgraded V8, and of course, it also gives you comfortable overdrive. There's also disc brakes up front, and an upgraded rear w/sway bar.
This is a very cool custom Forty Ford that has added style, power, and growl. It's an all-around cool custom classic that makes for a fun driver. Call today!!!
