1968 was a radical design departure for Ford's family of the intermediate line of cars. And this is a factory air conditioning convertible (it's blowing cold but the blend doors/vents may need servicing.) Plus, it's a proper driver's package with front bucket seats with a center console and floor shift in-between.

A premium Mercury also means premium Ford power, and so this was optioned with a 302 cubic-inch V8, and this still carries the correct F-code spec. It continues to have the strong-running nature these motors have earned at Ford, and the dual exhaust has the right tune for a great cruiser. Speaking of driving, the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and wide BF Goodrich tires all come together to make for a good all-around experience.
