FANTASTIC 70 VETTE, ZZ454 CRATE MOTOR, TRI POWER, INCREDIBLE PAINT, AWESOME CAR!

Drop the hammer in this bright red 1970 Corvette convertible and things start to happen in a real big hurry. With a frame off restoration, a heart transplant that includes a ZZ454 crate motor, this rejuvenated Stingray packs a lot of fast fun into its sleek 2-seat body.

With just 3000 miles on the restoration, this Corvette is still very, very fresh and very, very nicely done. You can't do better than bright red, so it got a fresh urethane paint job in its original code 974 Monza Red, a color that never looked better than it does here. And while it got a big upgrade under the hood, the bodywork remains pretty much as it was in the summer of 1970 when this was the hottest car on the street. The vented hood, the “Coke-bottle” fenders, and the little ducktail spoiler out back all look fantastic, making this the car that dreams are made of. Fit and finish is quite good, but nobody's going to look too carefully after they hear this car's exhaust note and see how it moves. What they will notice is the impressive shine, the brightly chromed bumpers that define the best of the C3 'Vettes, and the guy behind the wheel grinning like an escaped convict.

The Saddle interior is a great alternative ... Please ask for the full description.

The Saddle interior is a great alternative to the more common standard black upholstery, and it, too, is this car's original choice. Of course, almost everything inside is new, from the seat covers to the carpets, and the tan vinyl has a distinctly upscale look that black can't quite capture and when the sun is beating down, the light color will do wonders for comfort. It might show some very, very minor wear in the driver's seat cushion, but beyond that it really looks new. Power windows are a desirable feature on a ragtop, and somewhere along the line the instrument panel bulbs were switched with red ones, so it has a high-tech fighter jet look at night. The original AM/FM radio still lives in the dash and the gauges are all in wonderful shape with crisp, bright markings and vivid orange needles. There's a new black convertible top that's there for emergencies, and a matching black vinyl hardtop is a rare and desirable option.

But this car's real claim to fame is the brutal ZZ454 big block that was stuffed under the hood. Looking very high-tech with its sand-cast valve covers and custom triangular air cleaner that replicates that of the mighty 427/435 setup, it delivers a huge wallop of horsepower when you crack the throttle. A Demon Tri-Power intake and carburetors give it that old-school performance look, while aluminum heads shed weight and heat to help improve performance. The front of the engine is dressed with a modern serpentine belt drive and a BeCool aluminum radiator to keep temps under control without issue. Snug-fitting cast iron exhaust manifolds feed a new dual exhaust system and a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission is more than up to the rigors of channeling the big block's torque to the pavement. It's pretty obvious that someone spent a lot of time detailing the chassis, which shows well and is set up for cruising. Stock Rally wheels are give it an OEM look and wear 225/70/15 BFGoodrich radials.

It's pretty, it's comfortable, and boy is it fast! If you don't care about pedigrees as much as performance, this awesome red 'Vette delivers big in all the ways that you'll appreciate. Call today!
