SHARP T-BIRD! 312 V8, AUTO, PS, PB, FRT DISC, HARD AND SOFT TOPS, DRIVES GREAT!

This 1957 Ford Thunderbird has solidified its image as an icon of the American road. And to make sure it represents such an impressive legacy, this example has all the best pieces - from the porthole hardtop to the larger V8. So if you love cherry red paint, wire wheels, big chrome, and a true wind-in-your-hair cruiser, you know this is the time to look into this classic.

The '57 is a sought-after car in so many circles. After all, the first generation car was groundbreaking, and this was the one that had a few years for refining. So you still get the iconic front end, but with a smother and sportier style. And the rear bumper integrates the exhaust with a wide opening that complements the long tailfins. You can see these special details so well because this example has mirror-like brightwork and the body panels have a nice fit to show off the long and flowing lines. This is a detail-oriented presentation. With fender skirts, bright hood scoop trim, wind wings, and real wire wheels. The trim tag tells us this is wearing its correct shade of Flame Red. It's a later respray that has a nice gloss with an overall style that's easy to take out on the road... after all, this is a real ... Please ask for the full description.

It's a later respray that has a nice gloss with an overall style that's easy to take out on the road... after all, this is a real cruiser. A white convertible soft top comes with the car and is in good shape, but is not currently mounted and the white porthole hard top is a must have that completes the classic look. It goes well with the whitewall tires and gives the full color package the all-American appeal of a Coca-Cola bottle.

Because a '57 T-bird is the most fun as a convertible, we're glad to see the ivory white interior. So you have a similarly attractive color theme with or without a top. Another reason to love these Thunderbirds is the level of detail inside. The door panels have the logo neatly embossed in the doors, and the machine-turned panel that flows across the dash also wraps around the doors. Plus, this example has desirable vintage features everywhere from the dash courtesy light to power windows. They even added the air conditioning system, (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) These Thunderbirds are built to be nice drivers, and so you have a nice feel to the floor shifter and the artistic steering wheel. And T-bird fans know that the '57 was the only one to get the sporty full round gauge setup.

The D-code "Thunderbird Special" 312 cubic-inch V8 was an optional motor, and so it's nice to see this one still carrying that displacement today. In fact, the presentation is almost like a time capsule with the bold red block, FoMoCo hoses, gloss black components, and an especially tidy overall appearance. And there's even the factory dress-up kit with the polished pie dish air cleaner and an attractive set of ribbed valve covers. The V8 inhales deeply with the correct-style Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a dignified tune from the dual exhaust. And features like the two-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and upgraded front discs are all about delivering a T-bird that lets you enjoy the drive.

The sale comes complete with the owner's manual, a rack to store the hardtop, and a car cover. This is the ultimate Thunderbird done in the ultimate color combo. So if you want to drive a true icon, call today!
