Iconic, collectible, and upgraded to be even more special - this 1999 Plymouth Prowler Woodward Edition tribute is a nicely-presented example of one of the most distinctive new classics to hit the road.
The first thing that you will instantly notice about this car is the paint. The black and red two-tone is a tribute to the rare Woodward Edition vehicles. So you can view this as buying a car that looks exactly like one of the 151 ever produced, but instead pick it up for a much more obtainable price. They really paid attention to details, and that's why the two-piece bumpers front & rear were even painted gloss black. The way the paint and body are presented today signal that this was cared for like a collectible should be. After all, all Prowlers are part of a low batch production where Plymouth manufactured the hot rod we all would have loved to build. The cycle front fenders, tapered profile, and round rear end are all those great cues of what we love about custom cars. But this is far more modern underneath the sculpted skin. There was plenty of aluminum in the body (as well as much of the chassis and motor) to be a lightweight roadster.

Description
Inside is where this retro ride gets very modern. It's outfitted with exceptionally comfortable charcoal gray leather buckets with the special Prowler logo embossed in the backs. The low odometer is believed to reflect the actual mileage, and the quality condition of the interior reaffirms that. Ahead of the three-spoke steering wheel is a tach, and the dash is dominated with bold white-faced instruments. Power windows, power locks, cruise control, a tilt steering column, and that slick-shifting "Auto-Stick" transmission all make the Prowler a more functional choice for those who like a vintage look but modern convenience. The air conditioning keeps you cool with the top down, and a powerful AM/FM/cassette factory stereo means hearing your music crisply even when pen to the world. Plus, a retro car also means welcomed safety features like the dual airbags and ABS that come with the Prowler's great vintage looks.
When you lift the hood, the near spotless condition of this original motor reminds you of the respect this collectible has received. The lightweight nature of the Prowler and an engine upgrade in 1999 means the 3.5-liter 24-valve V6's 253 horsepower moves this roadster quite nicely. It starts instantly and idles smoothly thanks to modern fuel injection. The four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive and power steering make this a fine anytime cruiser. When you want a little more fun, the AutoStick has a manual mode that will really open up the back roads. This lets you take full advantage of the fully independent suspension, four-wheel power disc brakes, grippy Goodyear Eagle GS-D tires, and the Prowler's near 50/50 weight distribution.
They added distinction to an already distinct Prowler. And this is a well-presented example that's offered for a value price. So you know this is a great deal, and you also know you can't let it slip away. Call now!
