The 1971 Buick GS 455 is the ultimate dream muscle car for many of us. It perfectly blends the worlds of luxury and performance. It's a special day when you find exceptionally well preserved/restored example that has all the features, right down to the big V8 force-fed thought the hood scoops.

A Buick in Cortez Gold brown just seems to represent the 1970s perfectly. And the reason why you find it so attractive today is because the factory-correct color was treated to a proper respray later in life so that it can retain a nice luster today. This hue is the perfect complement to the black vinyl top. Plus, it was one of the final years before chrome bumpers had to sacrifice style for federal regulation. You see this, especially in the rear, where the one-piece bumper creates an entire panel that's crafted to integrate the angular rear fenders and trunk. But the premium appearance is only half of the reason why you really want this Buick so badly. You also love the aggressive touches like the functional hood scoops, Rallye wheels, and red striping on the rocker panels that lets everyone know this Buick is no doctor's house call machine.

We love it when the vinyl roof color is also a ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

455 V8, TH400 AUTO, PWR STEER/BRAKES, CLEAN IN/OUT, RUNS/DRIVES GR8, SHOW/CRUISE

We love it when the vinyl roof color is also a preview of the interior color. It has a nice and clean look that family and friends will find inviting. And of course, a bucket seat interior is always attractive for the driver. Not only does this nicely mix premium and performance, but this one also nicely mixes vintage and new. You have classic wood-like trim on the center console and iconic horseshoe shifter taking center stage. The gauge panel has the classic Buick look, and it has a large speedo and tach. This goes nicely with well-integrated pieces like the Grant Sport steering wheel on the tilt column and full AutoMeter Sport-Comp auxiliary readouts. Plus, you get to choose the best in driving music with an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo that includes upgraded speakers, a USB input, and Bluetooth.

You'll love lifting the hood and showing off the bold GS 455 callout in front of the correct air element and gaskets that connects this to the fresh air hood. But more than just vintage style, this is a is a true powerhouse. You have the correct 455 cubic-inch displacement, and now its upgraded with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition, and long tube headers feeding the rumbling dual exhaust. It's a strong-running motor, and there's even a Champion aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans to help keep it running cool. The big block is correctly mated to a TH400 three-speed transmission, so you get a stout construction and easy automatic shifting. Plus, you have power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and an upgraded rear suspension to deliver a quality feeling on the road.

Complete with maintenance records, this a well-done hardtop classic. So if you love the power of a big block Chevelle, but with more distinction and a lower cost, you know this Buick is right for you. Call now!
