Under the hood, things are busy but well organized. Power comes from a 390 cubic inch V8 cooled by a Derale performance radiator with dual electric fans. An Edelbrock electronic fuel injection system and high-rise intake keep the fuel flowing strong. A Tremec TKO 5-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear axle. Suspension consists of stock-style front A-arms and shocks, with rear leaf springs and shocks. Stopping is handled by front and rear power disc brakes with an electric vacuum pump booster and master cylinder. Posted at all four corners are 15-inch Cragar wheels wrapped in front BFGoodrich 235/60R15 and rear BFGoodrich 275/60R15 tires. The Galaxie also rumbles nicely thanks to long-tube headers, dual exhaust, and Turbo mufflers. And for when you really want the engine to scream, exhaust cutouts are installed.
