This is a big block muscle car from a year with a distinct and singular design. And if you're a Mopar fan, we didn't have to give you these reminders why the 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda is so special. So to find a well-restored tribute that offers extras like big power and an A/C interior is a true fleeting opportunity.
We love the 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda. The unique quad headlights were only available for this year, and it made for one of the sportiest muscle machines of the era. This is a proper tribute with nearly $50k in receipts to make it a true muscle Mopar. It starts with the looks. The deep blue is close to the factory shade of Evening Blue. It's the perfect shining complement to the matte black stripe package that showcases the rear fender “kick-up”, and at the same time it coordinates with other great upgrades like the black vinyl roof and full-width rear spoiler. While the black accents add to the intimidation factor, the dual scoop sport hood and hood pins already look like they are trying to keep the beast in its cage. Remember, even as a tribute, this is a genuine 1971 coupe with the special front end. And in true Mopar fashion, it's quite rare. After all, Chevrolet built about ... Description
It's the perfect shining complement to the matte black stripe package that showcases the rear fender "kick-up", and at the same time it coordinates with other great upgrades like the black vinyl roof and full-width rear spoiler. While the black accents add to the intimidation factor, the dual scoop sport hood and hood pins already look like they are trying to keep the beast in its cage. Remember, even as a tribute, this is a genuine 1971 coupe with the special front end. And in true Mopar fashion, it's quite rare. After all, Chevrolet built about as many Chevelle SS coupes in two months as the COMBINED total of Barracuda and 'Cuda coupes Plymouth produced during this unique year.
More of the restoration investment is instantly noticed when you look inside. The carpeting, dash, and door panels look dark and have a nice fresh feeling. As you slip into the high-back bucket seat you get enveloped by a dash built around the driver. The factory-style AM/FM stereo is just a fingertip away, and so is the upgraded R134a air conditioning. It all has a great vintage look, right down to Mopar's Tuff sports steering wheel and full round gauge package w/tachometer.
Under the hood is an era-correct 383 cubic-inch V8 that has been given the same kind of clean and period-correct investments as the rest of the car. So you'll proudly show everything off, including the details, like the air topper with Magnum callout. The V8 fires up readily as the Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor inhales deeply. A dual exhaust gives that awesome big block rumble. But while this is a beastly power package, it's quite easy to tame. That's thanks to the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and BF Goodrich T/As mounted on the cool Rallye wheels.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and build receipts documenting the thorough restoration/transformation. This is the Mopar look we're all after, so don't let this opportunity slip away.
