In the pantheon of classic cars, it's pretty hard to top one of the most beloved and storied models ever to set rubber to asphalt. That goes even more so when the car in question features the fresh appearance and well-configured mechanical condition of this 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad. A thorough restoration left it in top aesthetic form, and it has obviously received consistent sheltering ever since, judging from the deep shine of its period-correct, two-tone paint. Clear, unblemished glass surrounds the cabin, and the bumpers at both ends, along with the collection of chrome trim, really show well. A closer look will reveal tight, consistent body lines, and the weatherstripping throughout has done a fine job of keeping the elements from intruding.

Take a glance inside, and you're likely to notice that all of the interior components still retain their deep pigmentation, and the combination of the turquoise and white vinyl on the bench seating creates just the right vintage effect. The dash area on this Chevy classic is an absolute showstopper, with crystal clear gauges and unblemished paint everywhere you look. The original AM radio still holds its place at the center of the dash, but if you pop open the glove box, you'll find an AM/FM/CD stereo on hand to expand your audio options.

This vintage wagon has been configured to deliver plenty of power. A stroked 383-cubic-inch engine sits at the center of the compartment, surrounded by plenty of chrome components, as well as a chrome radiator support and chrome inner fenders that really dress things up under the hood. Armed with a 4-barrel Edelbrock carburetor perched on an aluminum intake manifold, the V8 also features a performance cam and pulls with more than enough conviction to satisfy even the more performance-centric driver. It pairs with a 4-speed automatic TH200-4R transmission with an overdrive gear to keep RPMs down at highway speeds. The long tube headers leading out to a pair of Turbo mufflers yield a nice, deep exhaust note with a tap on the gas pedal. An MSD ignition has been added to maximize available spark, and power steering combines with power brakes that position discs up front to equip this great-looking ride with good road manners.
