This is Ford's 292 cubic-inch V8 topped with a four-barrel carburetor. That's proper blue oval power, and the way it fires up with gusto signals it has been treat with proper respect. Though the 292 runs and drives great, it is believed by the current owner that is is actually a 312 spec engine based on the previous history and restoration shop that restored the car 10+ years ago (292 and 312 blocks appear the same from the outside.) This same sense of good care comes from the ultra-clean undercarriage photos. The car drives with confidence, and the power steering and three-speed automatic transmissions keep it an easy cruiser.
