Regular readers already know that a lot of handsome Advance Design pickups run through our showroom. This 1954 Chevrolet 3100 3-Window, with searing red paint, a strong 350 small block V8 mated to an overdrive transmission, and a lot of tricks up its sleeve, this is the one you've been waiting to own.
We've said it many times before: if you're going to paint it bright red, you need to invest the extra time to make it worth looking at, because you're going to get A LOT of attention. Well, the guys who built this truck did exactly that, spending nights and weekends in the body shop sanding the sheetmetal. Then they sprayed several coats of brilliant red paint and another few late nights wet sanding it to bring up a brilliant shine. So, yeah, it's pretty darn nice. Now, it's not perfect, strong driver-quality is the best way to describe it, but the imperfections that can be spotted are minor and the curb appeal is through the roof. The other thing it is, is very slick. No graphics, no flames, no distractions from the clean shape that looks flat-out awesome. Most of the trim was restored, polished, or replaced (including the bumpers and badges), and the final result is so good that you don't ... Please ask for the full description.

Most of the trim was restored, polished, or replaced (including the bumpers and badges), and the final result is so good that you don't really notice what's been altered without another truck parked right next to it. This one just looks right, from the roof visor, to the color-matched grille, to the vinyl tonneau cover over the shortbed out back. Inside, the bed is neatly restored with a handsome patina wood bed tied in place with black slats, along with a cool built-in fuel filler that fits flush so it stays out of the way and shows that the tank has been relocated for better safety. There's just nothing on this dialed-in driver truck that wasn't tweaked to a very high level before being bolted back on.
It's also comfortable, thanks to a nicely finished and elegantly simple interior. The original bench has been covered with black vinyl with white pleated inserts, and with matching two-tone door panels and a gray headliner, it's easy to forget this is an ancient pickup truck. Black carpet ties it together in a rather handsome way, and the upgraded tilt steering column is fitted with a custom Weld Racing steering wheel that continues the restomod theme. Classic Instruments gauges were installed in the original pods, which gives them a very trick look, an aftermarket tachometer was added to mind the revs, and the long-handled Lokar floor shifter has an old-school vibe that works extremely well inside the cab. There is a discreetly hidden JVC AM/FM/CD/AUX stereo radio under the dash, as well as a neatly installed aftermarket A/C system (which needs servicing to be fully functional again).
As you'd expect, this Chevy still carries Chevy power, a neatly installed 350 cubic inch V8 in this case. With plenty of horsepower now powering this 3100, it runs superbly and looks fantastic inside the painted engine bay. It's very functional, with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, HEI distributor, aluminum intake manifold, and a lot of polished and chromed parts to make it glitter. The rest of the engine bay is very nicely finished, too, offering painted inner fenders and firewall, providing a great backdrop for the bright bits on the engine. The front suspension is a Mustang II setup with power front disc brakes and power rack-and-pinion steering, which means this truck feels much more modern every time you take it out. A sturdy 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and a 10-bolt rear round out the powertrain, leaving you with no worries about reliability and transforming it into an easy high-speed cruiser. Finally, American Racing Torque Thrust "Old Styles" wheels look great on just about everything and wear staggered 235/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A blackwall radials.
So yes, we sell a lot of these. But not a lot of them measure up to the standard set by this one. So, if you're looking for a great one, it's just arrived. Call now!
