302 V8, 4-SPEED AUTO, PWR STEER/4-WHEEL DISC, DUAL EXHAUST, RARE BENCH SEAT, A/C

This 1966 Ford Mustang is the classic pony car with plenty of extra gallop. Not only is the V8 upgraded, but also there are terrific additions, like an overdrive transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, and an A/C interior. And speaking of the interior, this one has a particularly rare feature. So you're looking at a great vintage coupe that's made for driving.

The factory correct Vintage Burgundy is always a nice find. It has the red-blooded American style, but with a deeper and more sophisticated tone. There was at least one respray later in life to update it with a modern clearcoat application, but it's nothing that will make you nervous about taking long drives in this pony car. And as you dig into the details, you'll see that's exactly what this one is made for. For example, while the body and trim make for a very complete and vintage package, the upgraded 17-inch Ridler wheels allow you to fit more modern and effective tires.

The trim tag tells us this is a 63C coupe, and Mustang people know that's special. It signals this is a bench seat car. Not only is it a cool presentation with a fold-down center to give you bucket-like comfort, but also it makes one of the rarer Mustangs ... Please ask for the full description.

Not only is it a cool presentation with a fold-down center to give you bucket-like comfort, but also it makes one of the rarer Mustangs from 1966 (only about 3.5 percent of the total production were optioned this way!) The parchment color always looks good against the deep burgundy of the exterior, and the maroon carpeting and dash remind you of that. This is a nice place to spend some time with more recent investments in fundamentals like the door panels, wood-rimmed steering wheel, dash pad, and headliner. Plus, upgrades like the retro-style AM/FM digital tuner and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning are the kind of things we really love in a classic that's made to cruise.

We love Mustangs for their V8 power, and so this really gets us excited. After all, the 302 cubic-inch displacement wouldn't be available for another couple of years, but this one was given the larger size. The upgrades continue with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and Accel plug wires. More than a nice power, this is a very useful total package. That's why you have everyday handy upgrades like the aluminum radiator with electric fan and a 700R4 four speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. Plus, there's the power steering, a newer power brake booster, and four-wheel disc brakes.

The first-generation Ford Mustang is a true classic car icon, and this one has been upgraded for fun and usability. So don't miss this deal, call today!!!
