The 1934 Ford has endured the test of time, and the fact that there are beautifully built rods like this Gibbons-bodied 3-window coupe only proves that great designs transcend time. The look is familiar, but the execution on this one is spectacular, making it a favorite at any event.
Gibbons has been building some of the industry's best fiberglass for decades now, and I bet if you asked pro builders their preference, they'd choose new fiberglass in a crate over beat-up original steel ten times out of ten. You certainly can't argue about the fit and finish of this handsome coupe, which offers crisp detailing that hasn't been sanded off, and great panel fit that comes from careful assembly. The vivid Corvette Ruby Red paint is a great contrast to all the pastel colored rods out there, giving the coupe an understated elegance that it probably had in 1934, but lost when people started using the flames and bright colors. The louvered hood is steel, of course, with a factory-style row of louvers that are not only cool, but functional, keeping small block underneath nice and cool. Other high-wear parts like the running boards and deck lid are also steel to enhance durability, making this a rod ... Please ask for the full description.

Other high-wear parts like the running boards and deck lid are also steel to enhance durability, making this a rod you can drive anywhere, anytime. Shaved bumpers, a billet insert in the body-colored grille shell, and original-style door handles are all appropriate on this slick rod, giving it a look that will still be in fashion decades from now.
A wonderfully functional gray leather interior makes this a car you can drive cross-country without a worry. That wide bench not only positions you perfectly, but is adjustable enough to make this car fit just about anybody. Matching gray carpets give the coupe a sense of luxury and help control heat, and a tilt steering column with a leather-wrapped banjo wheel only adds to the comfort. Additional features include ice cold A/C, an array of VDO gauges, and a powerful Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo system in the custom overhead console. Power windows, cruise control, a Lokar shifter, and those trick billet panels for the gauges and glove box door will also help make your next Power Tour appearance more comfortable. In back, there's a finished trunk that opens with the touch of a button thanks to a linear actuator in the side panel.
More confidence comes from the 350 cubic inch LT4 under the hood, one of the absolute best choices for a vintage rod. Making great power and torque in a compact package, the Corvette-based LT4 is the ideal running mate for this coupe, and its subdued almost OEM appearance matches the rest of the car. Forget excessive chrome and flash that only ensures that you'll spend more time under the hood than behind the wheel, it's simply functional and reliable, and experts will spot that red intake and know that it's not a garden-variety LT1. The 4L60E 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission is a wonderful upgrade over the usual 3-speed setup, while out back there's a Ford 9-inch with 3.73s inside, which are not a problem with that overdrive transmission. Up front coilover shocks and a rack-and-pinion steering box make it easy to maneuver, and 4-wheel discs deliver impressive stopping power. Polished American Racing wheels wear big-n-little Goodyear radials for a nice rake.
This is a wonderful, stylish, enjoyable rod that couldn't be duplicated for anywhere near the asking price. Call today!
