A 4-speed manual is used to slam those gears, making this Corvette a little rarer than others-since only about 1 out of every 8 Corvettes were built with a stick shift option in 1981. The front suspension uses A-arms with coil springs and shocks, while the rear suspension uses leaf springs with shocks. Aluminum stock-appearing wheels are 15-inch all the way around, wrapped with BFG Radial T/A 255/60R15 tires. For stopping power, four-wheel power disc brakes are used, and for exhaust sound, there is a mostly stock dual exhaust setup with aftermarket mufflers.
