Description
If you've been looking for a vehicle with a long heritage and timeless appeal, then this 1938 Ford Tudor Sedan deserves strong consideration. Fully repainted in a beautiful dark blue, this pre-war sedan sports curvaceous fenders, sleek lines, and a vertical-bar grille integrated into its pointed yacht-like nose.
Inside, we find a cozy grey cloth interior, featuring a split bench seat in front and full bench in the rear. A classic three-spoke steering wheel sits just ahead of a column-mounted, 8,000 rpm 'Rocket Tach'. Behind the tachometer sits a large 100 mph speedometer and multi-readout gauge containing fuel level, temperature, oil pressure, and battery charge. Simple yet elegant controls take center stage on the dashboard, while a large glove compartment is positioned in front of the passenger seat.
Under that steel hood, we find a classic 255 cubic-inch Flathead V-8 engine. While it still uses stock head and engine bolts, this motor has been upgraded to Tri-Power carburation along with an Offenhauser intake manifold and a performance-oriented camshaft. All told, this engine has gone from 125 horsepower to a stout 235 horsepower, and with just 23,000 miles on it, there is plenty of life left for you to enjoy. Those ponies are routed through a three-speed manual transmission before being sent out to a live axle rear, where they are transferred to the pavement via body color 16-inch wheels shod in throwback white-walled tires.
