WOW! BEAUTIFUL FRESH BUILD! 5.7L LS1, AUTO, A/C, LEATHER, '93 S10 CHASSIS, NICE!

Before you look too carefully at this 1951 Ford F-1 Restomod pickup, take a look at the price. Before you bemoan the rising prices of classic cars and trucks nationwide, please understand that this is probably the nicest Ford F-1 Restomod that we've ever featured here at Streetside Classics in DFW. It's certainly the nicest one that I've ever had the pleasure to highlight, and I don't state that lightly after all these years. Now, with that in mind, take your time to examine this truck, although even with that close deliberation we doubt it will look as good in pictures as it does in person. Gorgeous paint, a luxurious cabin, a custom chassis, and a modern LS1 powerplant lead a long list of attributes on this professionally built restomod.

Bold colors always work well on vintage pickup trucks, but the particular shade of Sage Green is so unique and vivid that it leaves a deep impression on anyone that sees it in person. It makes you wonder why we don't see this custom shade on cars more frequently, especially on vintage rides with gorgeous designs lines like the '51 F-1. Mixed up by professionals, it's a basecoat/clearcoat paint that was expertly applied over laser straight sheetmetal, ... Please ask for the full description.

Mixed up by professionals, it's a basecoat/clearcoat paint that was expertly applied over laser straight sheetmetal, and it has such a deep luster and shine you'd think any fly that landed on it might drown. The hood was decked and the original trim and brightwork was removed for a bespoke touch, and the interior of the grille, the running boards, and side walls of the bed were all painted to match the body. During the frame-off restoration everything was taken apart and brought down to bare metal, coated in all that luxurious paint and clearcoat, and then neatly reinstalled and fitted atop a custom S-10 chassis that provides that killer rake. The results speak for themselves - exacting gaps, perfect panel alignment, and even that big hood fits evenly with the fenders. It's the kind of detail that you don't notice immediately but gives the whole truck a top-end, show-quality look that stands up to scrutiny. Everything is steel too, and the Ford metal looks straight as an arrow when you look down the sides from any angle. All the glass and molding was replaced, a custom hood tilt and pull was installed, and really cool streetrod-style chrome side mirrors, door handles, and wipers were all fitted to match. Up front a smoothed, one-piece bumper is slick as can be, while out back a roll pan was swapped-in to match the squared-off angles of the custom dropdown tailgate just above it. Other than the V8 badge up front and the embossed 'Ford' script on the tailgate, all the emblems have been removed, although the spirit of the stock look was left enough alone that this truck is still instantly recognizable as an F-1. Clear headlights and turn signals inside chrome housings look crisp and clear up front, while the contrasting smoked LED taillights are also outlined in chrome, while the raised bed (due to the swapped-in chassis) was finished with beautifully finished oak boards and stainless steel rub strips that look so nice you'll hesitate before you haul anything dirty away from Home Depot.

Ford's normal utilitarian interior got a huge makeover, anchored by a pair of supple bucket seats wrapped in gorgeous beige leather that's all-day comfortable. Accentuated by elegant inserts and supported by thick cushions, all pretext of working for a living has been wiped out, creating a luxury-oriented cockpit that's a pleasure to visit. The door panels were upholstered to match the seats, as was the custom middle console and top/back of the cab, while the custom tan carpets are plush and clean as can be, insulating the cabin from the outside world. A tilt steering column with a leather-wrapped Foose steering wheel makes it easy to get comfortable, and a tall Lokar shifter is short reach away, neatly settled inside in the custom console that also houses cup holders, a Pioneer AM/FM/CD/AUX head unit and speakers, and vents for the Vintage A/C system. Controls for that A/C were installed in the Sage Green painted dash that was accented with a slash of bright chrome, along with a duo of Classic Instruments gauges affixed ahead of the driver. The power windows are operated by the roll-up handles inside the door panels – a seriously cool touch – and the extra speakers just below them really help the truck's stereo system go 'boom'.

The show continues under the hood, where a smoothed and tailored engine bay with beautifully painted sheetmetal fits tightly around the swapped-in 5.7L LS1 V8. The old adage that only a Chevy engine can make a Ford go fast isn't exactly true, although it certainly makes a strong case inside this F-1. Modern fuel-injection, a brand new wiring harness, and fresh accessories all mean this truck runs like a modern machine, and with only 3,801 miles on the build this baby is just getting started. It's a beautifully appointed engine too, with custom coilpack covers that mimic valve covers at the flanks, a large cold-air intake tube that dominates the top of the block, and a gigantic aluminum radiator up front that keeps the whole show nice and cool. Ceramic-coated headers feed into a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers below, so the soundtrack is amazing, and with the throttle response of a modern fuel-injected motor it's a symphony at any speed. The swapped-in S10 suspension features all the top goodies, including power rack-and-pinion steering, power front disc brakes, custom A-arms, a sway bar, and coilovers up front, and air shocks and a heavy-duty rear end out back. A 4L60E 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission provides easy highway cruising and stance is just right, with 18-inch front and 20-inch rear Foose wheels wrapped in Falken performance radials.
