It great to get a cool-cruising convertible for a nice price, but the big scoop on the front tells you this 1966 Dodge Dart Convertible is much more. There's a fuel-injected 440 Magnum V8 and four-on-the-floor that make this droptop king of the blacktop.

Dodge's lightweight Dart proved the old adage that taking weight out was just as effective as beefing up horsepower. But what if you did both – upped the muscle in the lightest Mopar around? Well, you'd have this incredible Dart. These have always been the blocky looking bad boys, and now this one has an extra dose of dark flair with red paint, custom pinstriping, and a huge scoop on the front that looks like the heart of darkness. And there are also even great race-ready details, like the hood pins, external battery shut off, and Weld racing wheels.

The white top has a nice look against the red, but with the flip of a switch, it reveals a muscle-car friendly black. The A-bodies might have been Dodge's more compact offering of the time, but in today's size that means ample room for family and friends. But really, this Mopar is a ton of fun without them. You understand that when you spot the auxiliary readouts, fire extinguisher, and ... Please ask for the full description.

You understand that when you spot the auxiliary readouts, fire extinguisher, and iconic Hurst pistol grip shifter.

The engine bay is stuffed with serious Mopar big block power. This is a 440 cubic-inch roller V8. It has all the right go-fast goodies like an Edelbrock hi-rise intake and an awesome set of custom headers snaking their way out of the engine bay. There's fuel injection with a Fireball HI-6 ignition to aid in both power and delivery. This is a growling Dodge, and it's great to have full control over the power and the thunderous soundtrack thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. And this build has also been upgraded for this added muscle. It includes subframe connectors for strength, traction bars, and a limited slip rear end. There are also wide Cooper tires in the rear and disc brakes up front.

The Darts were the ideal cars to make into a quarter-mile machine back in the day, and this example represents that perfectly. So if you want a convertible with attitude – all for a great price – call today!
