WOW! READY TO SHOW & GO! 5.3L VORTEC V8, AUTO, A/C, MANY UPGRADES! NICE IN/OUT!

Cars like this 1955 Chevy Bel Air Restomod require two things: time and money. The more of one you have, the less of the other you need, but there's no way around it, a car this nice requires a serious investment. Packing a beautifully detailed 5.3L LS V8 and 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission under the hood, a custom Street Rod Garage frame and performance suspension underneath, all wrapped up in a gorgeous Gypsy Red finish that's got us all hot-and-bothered in the showroom. Fast, reliable, and drop-dead beautiful, it's everything the original designers would've wanted the 1955 Chevy to be if they had the benefit of modern technology, and with only 30 miles on the build, it's still incredibly fresh!

The bright red paint job looks very factory correct, although it uses modern materials to give it a sparkling contrast. Gypsy Red and shiny chrome is a combination that would have looked right at home on the streets of 1955, although there was no paint that looked this darn good way back then. The bodywork is laser-straight, the show-ready glossy paint presents beautifully, and the car fits together extremely well, the result of all that time and money spent during the comprehensive ...

The bodywork is laser-straight, the show-ready glossy paint presents beautifully, and the car fits together extremely well, the result of all that time and money spent during the comprehensive restoration. We all love that it's solid red too, not broken up with a white roof or anything like that, because the uniform, cheerful red package suits a Restomod more appropriately. The finish is incredibly sleek, with only microscopic imperfections to speak of, if any (driver's side door has a couple touched-up chips – these are really the only flaws keeping this from being a show quality rig), the sheetmetal is laser straight, the gaps are exact, and the curb appeal is unparalleled. For under six figures and with such low miles on the build, you'll be hard-pressed to find a cleaner Tri-5 Chevrolet on the market. All the chrome and trim is brand new or restored and absolutely glistening, which also means someone spent enough cash restoring it all to put a kid through college. Detailing is crisp, and there are virtually zero flaws in the brightwork, just like the paintwork, which means this is a Tri-5 that absolutely commands attention and is ready to collect some trophies.

Inside, the stunning Tan-and-Saddle leather bucket seat interior is incredibly well done and offers supreme comfort and all the modern conveniences. Supple yet firm leather covers both the front and back seats, and the door panels use the same stuff in a custom pattern that definitely shows an artist's touch. The builders refinished the original dash by covering it with matching red paint around the machined brightwork, and they added Classic Instruments gauges behind a stock-style panel ahead of the driver, wired up neatly out of sight. There's also an Ididit wood-rimmed steering wheel that sits atop an Ididit tilt steering column, and a Lokar shifter built into a slick custom console that also houses two cup holders. A Vintage Air R134a A/C system has been neatly installed with vents inside the finished panel under the dash and inside the console, there's LED lighting throughout the cabin, and the trunk was finished back-to-stock down to the black vinyl floor mat. A lot of money was spent on the well-optioned, upscale leather interior, and it shows as it's absolutely dialed-in.

Power comes from a beautifully dressed, fuel-injected 5.3L LS V8 engine that's barely been broken in. Professionally installed and with just 30 miles on the build, the upgraded motor looks new in almost every way, yet it was so neatly installed it's as if it was born there. All the components under the hood are newer and include a Holley Sniper fuel injection system, 706 heads, and an HEI ignition, so it starts and idles like your daily driver and actually pulls down decent fuel economy on the open road. There's chrome and polished pieces everywhere you look, the wiring and plumbing is neatly installed, and with a big aluminum radiator and dual electric fans up front, keeping things cool is no big deal. Underneath there's a slick-shifting 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission to handle all the added power, a nice upgrade over the original 2-speed PowerGlide. Long-tube headers feed a fierce Magnaflow dual exhaust system that sounds fantastic, while the suspension was upgraded with tubular A-arms, power rack-and-pinion steering, coilovers all-around, and Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes at the corners with drilled and slotted rotors - meaning this '55 hardtop drives like a brand new car. It's detailed for show underneath too, with a blacked-out Street Rod Garage frame and beautifully finished pans to go along with all the bright components, including the shiny rear end, 3-link, and new has tank. And to finish the custom look, it rides on a killer set of 15-inch Hurst wheels wrapped with 225/60/15 front and 235/60/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A white-letter radials.

It's rare to see cars this nice, and when one like this shows up at a cruise night or car show, it's obvious where the big money was spent. From the superb paint and bodywork to the rumbling V8 under the hood, it's a car that will delight you every time you see it in the garage or climb behind the wheel, which is what this hobby is all about.
