SHARP MARINA BLUE DROP TOP! 383 STROKER V8, AUTO, PWR STEER, PWR DISC BRAKES

When this 1967 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle convertible rolled in, more than one person simply said, “Wow,” which I think sums it up brilliantly. The early Chevelle was a clean design, free of many of the styling gimmicks of the era, and was based on some very sturdy hardware that ran for years with only cursory maintenance. With a powerful 383 Stroker V8 under the hood, power 4-wheel discs, correct Marina Blue paint, and a comfortable interior, this droptop gets everything right at a very competitive price.

Very nicely finished, this Chevelle has all the hallmarks of a car that started out as a solid, high-quality piece and was restored to greatness. Bodywork is pretty good, with an overall uniform look to the sheetmetal, and decent prep under the paint, so there's not a bunch of ripples or waves to report. Gaps show that this car was likely taken apart to be painted and then put back together, and it's nice to see that they kept the stock look without any stripes, and no fake SS badges. It isn't afraid to be what it is - a solid, all-around driver-quality droptop that's not trying to be a show pony. It was refinished in its original color of Code F Marina Blue, but no factory paint ever ... Please ask for the full description.

SHARP MARINA BLUE DROP TOP! 383 STROKER V8, AUTO, PWR STEER, PWR DISC BRAKES

When this 1967 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle convertible rolled in, more than one person simply said, "Wow," which I think sums it up brilliantly.

It was refinished in its original color of Code F Marina Blue, but no factory paint ever glowed like this car does and it's been rubbed and buffed to a very nice shine. Like the bodywork, the finish isn't without its imperfections, but when one steps back to drink in all that curb appeal, they're going to be impressed. Stainless trim has been polished, and 'Malibu' badges installed on the rear quarters, because this car isn't trying to be something it's not. Both bumpers have been straightened and re-chromed, the razor-blade front grille looks awesome, and the blacked-out tail panel is the perfect endcap on this muscle car.

Factory-correct upholstery around front buckets and a rear bench seat make this Chevelle spacious and comfortable, and they present in very good condition with little signs of usage on the bright blue seat covers. The original dash is in beautiful condition with a plush pad on top and bright chrome accents found from end-to-end. Note the factory center console that splits the front buckets, a fan favorite in muscle cars since the day they were introduced, and it houses a stock clock and shifter for the 3-speed automatic transmission below. Just about everything in blue-and-black is in great condition (short of some minor signs of use), including the plush black carpets, matching blue door panels, and even that handsome, wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel. Ahead of that steering wheel is the horizontal gauge bezel full of factory instruments, but to keep a better eye on the upgraded motor under the hood, there was an auxiliary fuel gauge added under the dash and an aftermarket tachometer strapped to the steering column. A retro-sound AM/FM/AUX stereo has been fitted in the original location and blends in like it always belonged, powering the upgraded speakers stashed throughout the cabin. The white convertible top fits really well and it includes a matching blue vinyl boot that perfectly matches the cabin's blue upholstery. And in back, the trunk is downright cavernous, lined with sound-deadening material and ready to be finished with period correct mats or carpeting.

The engine bay is a nice combination of original parts and quality aftermarket equipment. A powerful 383 cubic inch Stroker V8 looks right inside the big engine bay, and it's got plenty of blasting power to make the Chevelle a killer out on the street. Rebuilt less than 1K miles ago, the fresh small block has been augmented with aluminum heads and a moderate cam inside, a 4-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, and long-tube headers. It's been properly dressed in Chevy Orange paint on the block, an open-element air cleaner, and '383 Stroker' valve covers at the flanks, and with a giant BeCool aluminum radiator up front, this big motor is free to get as angry as it wants without ever overheating. Power steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes improve this droptop's road manners immensely, and it includes a true dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers that let the engine speak with that characteristic small block bark under throttle. The chassis is very clean, framing the TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end, and it rides and handles beautifully thanks to UMI tubular arms and sway bars front and back. It rolls on a shiny set of chrome Rally wheels wearing staggered 225/70/15 front and 295/50/15 rear Mickey Thompson white-letter radials.

Nicely built with a great color combination and driver upgrades like power 4-wheel disc brakes and aftermarket suspension parts, this is one heck of a Chevelle Malibu droptop. Let the other guys worry about investments; you'll be having too much fun behind the wheel of this beauty. Call today!
