VERY NICELY RESTORED VINTAGE FORD! 239 V8, 3 ON THE TREE! SHARP INSIDE/OUT!

This beautifully restored 1955 Ford F-100 pickup doesn't break any new ground in particular, but what it does offer is a classic look that's supremely well-executed and powered by a reliable Ford drivetrain. Arguably the best-looking pickup of the 1950s, the F-100 makes a great-looking hot rod without altering a single panel, and if you crave attention, this truck delivers in a big way.

Traditional bright colors always work well on '50s pickup trucks, and this eye-catching Blue step-side is so bright and shiny you need sunglasses to look directly at it. None of the old Ford's beautiful body lines were altered during the build, but everything was expertly restored and fitted, so the gaps are exacting and even the big hood fits fairly evenly with the fenders – if you've ever lifted one of these heavy clamshells, you know how tall of an order that can be. It's the kind of detail that you don't notice immediately but gives the whole truck a very high-quality look that stands up to scrutiny. The finish is about as strong as you'll find on a top driver quality truck, and the custom red pinstripe work really puts it over the top. Everything is well done, too, including the matching running ... Please ask for the full description.

Everything is well done, too, including the matching running boards, chrome bumpers fore and aft, and the ornate white and chrome grille. All the original brightwork and stainless trim was either replaced or refinished, including the grille highlights, step plates on the running boards, beautiful Ford F-100 emblems on the hood, and even the glass and cab molding: a detail in particular that exemplifies how nothing was overlooked during the build. Old-school attributes like the yellow fog lights, stencil work on the doors, and the wooden stakes out back all add to the aura of this truck, meaning this truck appeals to fans from all walks of life. Out back, the bed was beautifully finished with wood boards and chrome slats that make it look more like a dance floor than a heavy-duty hauler, so you'll think twice before filling it with dirt.

The Ford's utilitarian interior was nicely restored as well, anchored by a comfortable bench seat wrapped in white-and-blue, vinyl and cloth upholstery that looks fantastic. All the components inside were replaced or restored during the truck's thorough restoration, and the decision to go with simple, honest designs like were common for the era is a choice we certainly celebrate. The two-tone door cards are fresh and match the bench seat, with new window and door handles on each side, and the simple bright color works are the perfect complement to the blue paint. Fresh carpets protect the floorboards and give the cab an upscale feel, while the large, original steering wheel was fully restored down to the center cap and sits atop a long factory column that also houses a slender shifter for the 3-speed manual transmission below. The dash was completely redone back to factory standards and then drenched in the same paint that adorns the exterior, but not before the factory gauges were given a refreshing and a trio of auxiliary units were discreetly installed underneath. Options are sparse, which is normal for this era, and for my money the purr of the engine and feel of the air blowing through the open windows is all the luxury I seek in a vintage hauler.

The engine is a 'Power King' 239 cubic inch overhead valve Y-block V8 that was specifically introduced for the '54-'55 F-100s, and it's dressed in correct valve covers adorned with period decals, an original oil-bath air cleaner, and the entire block was neatly coated in Ford Blue engine enamel. The clean look of the motor and engine bay show that it's obviously been well-attended to and maintained ever since, and it's topped with a correct 2-barrel carburetor that gives it a decent amount of horsepower and a solid torque curve. A smooth-shifting 3-speed manual transmission makes it very easy to drive and gives it an old-school feel, and thanks to an upgraded Flowmaster dual exhaust underneath, it sounds great. There's still a rigid axle at both ends, hanging on leaf springs, but there are updated shocks all around and the truck has a fantastic stance. The chassis is very solid but not overly detailed, with no rust or signs of previous accident damage that further prove this truck has led a good, easy life and spent it's nights inside a warm garage. Factory steel wheels were painted bright red and adorned with Ford Baby Moon hubcaps for an awesome look, and they're all wrapped in 6.00-16 Firestone white-wall bias-ply tires that look right and fit perfectly.

Beautifully built, nicely finished, and completely sorted, this is a truck that will attract a lot of attention and still put a big smile on the driver's face. Call today!
