Description

351 V8 POWER, TOPLOADER 4 SPEED, REAL 05 MACH 1, MARTI REPORT, FACTORY GRABBER YELLOW, SLICK STANG!

This 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 certainly has a lot going for it. It's a fine example of early '70s automotive styling that captures its model at a pivotal point in its evolution. It has been restored to high standards, in all respects, leaving it with outstanding curb appeal, an inviting factory-correct interior, and a driving experience that's pretty hard to beat. Dressed in factory-correct Grabber Yellow, accented by sharp black striping, and wearing a proper collection of badging from front to back, this is a vintage Pony that not only looks great but also drives nicely. It'll not only make an undeniably compelling conversation piece in your garage, but it will also offer plenty of smile-inducing future memories from behind the wheel.

Take a glance inside and you'll see that no shortcuts were taken while bringing this Mustang's interior back to its former glory. Its factory-correct black vinyl upholstery has been restored to original configuration, leaving it with a pair of front bucket seats that really present well and a rear bench seat that appears to be nearly new. Just in front of the leather-wrapped steering wheel, the collection of factory gauges renders its findings behind clear lenses, and the dash pad above them is free from any noticeable cracking or warpage. When it comes time to hit the road, the drivetrain is navigated by an added Hurst shifter that sits in a nicely preserved center console.

Raise the hood and you'll see a 351 cubic-inch Cleveland V8 holding court in the engine bay. Representing one of the most potent engine options when this classic first rumbled off its Dearborn, Michigan assembly line, it's running in top form and pairs with a 4-speed Toploader transmission that puts full control of its output in the hands of the driver. By the time the '70s rolled around, Ford had power steering dialed in, so this Mach 1 navigates easily but responsively, and 4-wheel power brakes that feature disc brakes up front give it the fade-resistant stopping ability to make it well-suited for frequent driving. Simply put, this classic Mustang is not only pleasing to look at, but also a lot of fun to drive.
