This 1967 Mercury Marquis is running strong and has lots of upside. Not only is its interior in surprisingly good shape considering its survivor status, but it's also been safely sheltered in a climate-controlled garage for quite some time, and it will pull into its next lucky owner's garage with its original build sheet in tow.

While this classic may proudly wear some subtle evidence of its years of service, you'll have no trouble noticing the abundant vitality it offers. Its black exterior could use some detailing to restore its shine and some attention at the hands of a paint shop would yield an even greater benefit, but it's plenty appealing just as it stands. Both the front and rear bumpers are sporting surprisingly clean chrome and even the lengthy stretches of side molding show no major blemishes - a welcome sight in a car from this era. It's a substantial car, with a long hood and a sloping roofline that's capped by a vinyl top that's also pretty darned clean itself - even the badging just in back of the wide windows is still sharp.

With an interior this spacious you'll want to invite friends along, as this would be a cruising vehicle par excellence. Up front, the broad, split ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

410 V8 - 300 HP, AUTO TRANS, PWR STEER/FRNT DISC, A/C, DUAL EXHAUST, GR8 CRUISER

Up front, the broad, split bench seat looks like no other from its era. Known as Mercury's "Twin Comfort Lounge" seat, it combines the 3-passenger capacity of the era's traditional bench seat with the adjustability of buckets. It's in very good shape, as is the more traditional bench behind it, and the substantial amount of real estate between the rows of seating means your passengers will ride in comfort. Up front, the dash area is clean, harboring an instrument panel's worth of stock gauges that are still fully functional. Factory air conditioning was a far rarer option some 50-plus years ago, but it's on board here, though it could stand a Freon charge to return to top form. A couple of the items that almost always go awry on a car of this age are still up to par - the windows roll up and down with no complaint and the sizable doors still close with a reassuring thud.

Sitting in a well-maintained compartment, the 410 cubic inch V8 that powers this Mercury is a very capable engine - producing well in excess of 300 horsepower in factory trim. As a member of the FoMoCo line of FE powerplants, it's renowned for its rugged durability - there are plenty of its kind still on the road today. As you raise the hood and take a peek inside, you'll notice that the components have received plenty of attention to arrive at their spic and span condition - the inner fenders actually have a gloss to them, the hoses look fresh and the blue air cleaner really pops with its freshly painted appearance. True to its reputation, the engine is in good form, firing up promptly and sending a nice deep note out of its aftermarket Supertrapp dual exhaust as it teams with a 3-speed automatic C6 transmission that shifts without issue to form a highly functioning vintage drivetrain. Power steering makes this shapely classic easy to maneuver, while power disc brakes that position discs up front equip it with strong stopping ability as it cruises on its set of 15" 5-spoke Pace rims.

Whether you opt to put in the work to bring it to a whole new level or you just want to bring it home and get the good times rolling in its present state, this 1967 Mercury Marquis represents a compelling opportunity. Call today!
