VERY SHARP! FUEL INJECTED 350 V8, 700R4 AUTO, A/C, PS, PB, 4 WHEEL DISC, NICE!

Some pickups are just way too nice to use for work, and this beautifully restored 1959 Chevrolet 3100 Apache is one of them. It only takes a quick glance to know this truck is no beater, with only 8,941 miles since completion. The quality of workmanship is ample proof that this project was done with a discerning eye and an open checkbook. With a powerful, fuel-injected 350 V8 under the hood, a beefed-up suspension underneath, a luxurious A/C interior inside, this attention-grabbing Apache is ready for the bigtime.

Choosing the correct exterior color is one of the most important decisions in any project. The high-impact Yellow finish seen here is the perfect complement to the body style of the late '50s step side Chevy short bed. Truly, it would be hard to imagine a color that accentuates these boldly classic contours any better, and with the contrasting white paint on the roof, grille and badge surrounds, and 'Chevrolet' block letters on the tailgate it really pops. While it isn't museum-quality, this is definitely a higher-end, driver-grade paint job that would acquit itself well at local shows and cruise-ins, and the curb appeal alone is worth its own weight in gold. This Apache is ... Please ask for the full description.

This Apache is adorned with beautiful bright chrome bumpers and a gorgeous front grille that give it a more upscale look than the basic work truck version of the '59 Chevy, and the big spear-like badging on the front fenders matches it perfectly. That's manufactured wood slats in the bed with chrome strips adding just enough bling. The doors, tailgate and hood open and close flush and fairly easily, and from bumper-to-bumper the gaps in the bodywork are uniform and consistent. This might be a half-ton pickup, but it easily carries two tons of eye appeal.

One of the really cool things about this restoration is the fact that there is no weak link in the entire project. The interior looks every bit as good as the outside, with a lovely combination of new and old that works together seamlessly to form an uber-comfortable cab. The metal parts of the door panels and cab are painted yellow to aptly match the body, and the white accents surrounding the door hardware match the accents on the exterior. Two wide bucket seats and a middle console were swapped-in from a later-model pick-up, and they're all wrapped in high-end upholstery that shows barely any signs of use and will likely wear like iron with just a modicum of care. For convenience, a tilt column has been added with a thick, wood-rimmed billet steering wheel that perpetuates that '50s look, and just beyond it a chrome instrument bezel was filled with AutoMeter white-faced gauges that keep an eye on the upgraded motor under the hood. Other options include power seats, a Parrot multi-media player that powers a killer sound system through upgraded speakers and a Kicker subwoofer box stashed behind the seats, and a modern R134 A/C system that was neatly installed and wrapped in a custom unit under the dash. You'll find the perfect balance of beauty and comfort within the spacious cab of this Apache pickup, equipped and ready for all-day comfort for you and a passenger.

Step outside and raise the hood. You'll find an engine compartment that is spic and span, with just enough chrome to dress it up a little. Anchoring the drivetrain is the gold standard combination of a 350 small block engine and 700R4 automatic transmission. That's the de facto selection for most any GM restoration, as it provides both great power and long dependability. A few enhancements like a fuel-injection system, performance intake, long-tube headers, HEI ignition add a little more pep to a motor that was plenty stout to begin with. The 4-speed automatic transmission spins a durable 10-bolt rear end out back that's capable of handling all that extra power without sacrificing highway performance and an upgraded front clip provides power steering, beefier coil springs over shocks, and tubular A-arms, while out back there's a set of air shocks that help set that killer stance, and power 4-wheel disc brakes all around bring all that heavy metal to an abrupt stop exactly when you want it. Flashy 17-inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels finish off the look perfectly, wrapped in 225/65/17 blackwalls with plenty of grip.

Vintage Chevrolet pickup trucks from the 1950s have long been favorites among both casual enthusiasts and diehard collectors. Here's one with power, prowess, and poise. All this '59 Apache needs is a new owner. It could easily be you, call today!.
