SUPER CLEAN! 454 V8, 4 SPEED MANUAL, A/C, POWER STEER, 4 WHL DISCS, GREAT PAINT!

You don't often hear the words “tastefully modified” and “Corvette” in the same sentence, but this awesome 1975 Corvette really nails it with a drop-dead gorgeous color combination and a cackling big block motor under the hood. Mated to a quick-shifting 4-speed manual, the powerful 454 V8 under the hood is just the highlight of over $17K worth of upgrades this beauty has received through the recent years, resulting in one of the better cared-for and presented urethane bumper C3s we've ever featured.

In case you haven't noticed, '70s Corvettes are on a bit of a streak these days, with new Corvette fans turning up almost daily and embracing the affordable fiberglass they represent. This one doesn't presume to be a trailer queen (how could you resist not driving this Corvette every day with that killer drivetrain beckoning?), but instead is happy to be an uber-clean, handsome Corvette with a fantastic look that will definitely get noticed by anyone that gets near it. Top driver quality would be apt summation provided by most, with only a small handful of minor imperfections to speak of, and the lines between the urethane bumpers and the body were filled-in and painted over for a slick, ... SUPER CLEAN! 454 V8, 4 SPEED MANUAL, A/C, POWER STEER, 4 WHL DISCS, GREAT PAINT!

You don't often hear the words "tastefully modified" and "Corvette" in the same sentence, but this awesome 1975 Corvette really nails it with a drop-dead gorgeous color combination and a cackling big block motor under the hood.

Top driver quality would be apt summation provided by most, with only a small handful of minor imperfections to speak of, and the lines between the urethane bumpers and the body were filled-in and painted over for a slick, all-in-one design that we absolutely love. How come nobody else thought of that before? Other than that, the presentation is mostly stock (even down to the rather conservative cowl hood), and even though the Candy Apple Red Metallic paint is not original to the car, it's a huge upgrade over the Code 67 Medium Saddle this C3 was born with. And if you are indeed a purist, the exciting new shade is somewhat close to the Dark Red offered in 1975, so maybe you can find comfort in that. It's obvious that the color change was done right, as there's no trace of the original paint in the door jambs or under the hood, and fit and finish are well above-average for a mid-70s 'Vette. Chrome and brightwork is minimal, other than the rocker panel molding between the wheels, and even all the original badging was deleted for a clean, smooth look. T-tops were color matched to the body, and withing seconds transform this beaty into an open-air cruiser.

Inside, everything was restored back-to-stock in the late '90s, but the C3's interior design has aged quite well, especially in factory-correct Code 65V Medium Saddle. That restoration brought newer seat covers, dash pad, door panels, and plush carpets, which are all still in great condition today thanks to years of careful, conscientious ownership. The interior still has a fresh look, and who can argue with a low 2-seat cockpit bristling with technology, even if it is 1970s technology? The gauges are crisp and clear, with a full array of auxiliary gauges in the center stack as well as a newer AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit that fits neatly in the dash. Performance fans will also be pleased to see the chrome 4-speed manual shifter sticking out of the center console, meaning that this is one of the more involving Corvettes to drive, and the sporty black-and-beige billet steering wheel really kicks things up a notch inside. Options include an Old Air A/C system, seatbelts, and woodgrain trim in the door panels, and even the original steering wheel is included with the sale. And where the exterior is extroverted, the interior remains sophisticated and neatly done, not to mention quite comfortable, so you shouldn't be afraid to drive this car everywhere you go. Pull the T-tops and have some fun!

The top engine in 1975 was the L82, but the 454 big block V8 that's in there now trumps it in a big way. With Hedman long-tube headers, a 4-barrel carburetor, a performance intake manifold, and a Street Fire HEI distributor, the big block cranks out big horsepower and torque, making it a lot more potent than this car would have been new. It's a slick look under the hood with chrome valve covers and a matching open-element air cleaner, and a big aluminum radiator up front keeps the giant block nice and cool. Underneath, the chassis is clean and straight with a long list of upgrades and new parts, just the way you'd want it on a Corvette you planned to drive, and the 4-speed transmission is a very willing and able dance partner out on the road. There are lots of new components in the suspension, steering, and brake systems, along with a newer and great-sounding dual exhaust system, and this one really shows off how easy a life it's had in a warm, dry climate. And despite the big horsepower upgrade, this Corvette doesn't really advertise, instead sticking with stock Rally wheels and 235/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A white-letter radials.

This is a great-looking Corvette that is surprising fast and packs an uber-fun 4-speed transmission, so you need not make any apologies for falling in love. Call today!
