360 V8, 4-SPEED MANUAL, LOADED WITH FISHING AND CAMPING GEAR, READY FOR OUTDOORS

It's rare but not totally unheard of to encounter a Ford truck of its era - after all, Ford was building sturdy pickups long before the slogan “Built Ford Tough” became almost universally known - but to come across a specimen like this 1971 Ford F-250 Custom that's logged an unusually low 47,000 miles during its time is altogether a different matter. Looking as ready for action as can be, this sturdy workhorse comes with a plethora of fishing and camping equipment already on board that ably echoes its adventure-oriented purpose.

No doubt this venerable truck could tell some stories. Refinished a while back in a green mist shade, it appears about as able-bodied as the day it left the factory, though of course its rugged travels don't come without some surface mementos along the way. So, as you take a lap around it you'll see isolated evidence of its toils, despite its limited mileage, but it's undeniably sturdy, with side contours that meet up nicely as the cab merges with the bed area, and a hood and doors that are surrounded by tight even lines and open and shut without issue. It's outfitted with a compact white camper in back, over which looms over a sturdy steel rack carrying a canoe. ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

360 V8, 4-SPEED MANUAL, LOADED WITH FISHING AND CAMPING GEAR, READY FOR OUTDOORS

It's rare but not totally unheard of to encounter a Ford truck of its era - after all, Ford was building sturdy pickups long before the slogan "Built Ford Tough" became almost universally known - but to come across a specimen like this 1971 Ford F-250 Custom.

A whole host of camping and fishing paraphernalia comes with it, so this vintage Ford is itching for action - its lightly travelled drivetrain makes such adventures a definite option.

Take a glance inside the cabin and you'll likely be surprised by just how fresh everything looks. The bench seat is well padded for comfort and sports a cover that blends cloth and vinyl and fits nicely, and the floor below it is well-protected by a vinyl liner. This is an overall driving environment that's in just the road ready condition you'd want to get those journeys into the wilderness started with no delay. Up front, the dash area retains its original configuration and sports a smooth steel surface free of rust and nicely covered in color matched paint, with a dash pad running across the top that appears free of any cracks. The factory gauges inside the instrument panel are all still fully functional - a welcome sight in any vehicle of this era. At the center of the dash, the original AM radio still holds its place at the center to add even more vintage authenticity to the cabin and it also works as intended. The bed area in back shows some of the expected signs of wear - this is truck is all about action, after all - but it's solid and straight.

Beneath the hood, the engine compartment is well maintained and orderly and the 360 cubic inch V8 at its center is likely the original powerplant. It looks fresh and vital with its cleanly painted block, valve covers and air cleaner painted a proper Ford blue and is in strong running form, having recently been treated to a tune-up that included an array of new components to up dependability. The engine pairs with a 4-speed manual transmission that shifts without issue and was likely also on board when this classic pickup began its dutiful service. Dual fuel tanks greatly expand the driving range you'll have at your disposal, as this ruggedly appealing truck escorts you on future chapters of adventure on its 16" stock wheels painted to match the camper shell mounted in back.

The combination of intrepid nature and solid condition of this 1971 Ford F-250 Custom makes it a very compelling opportunity. Call today!
