Marking the first significant redesign for the Mustang, the '67 model is approximately two inches longer and wider than its predecessors, while also employing concave taillights and more dramatic side scoops.

Beneath that power convertible top, we find a stock-looking black vinyl interior, featuring a pair of bucket seats separated by a center console trimmed with brushed aluminum. A three-spoke, power-assisted steering wheel sits in front of a (then) newly designed instrument cluster that houses a big 120 mph speedometer and combination oil pressure/alternator readout. An AM/FM/Cassette player handles soundtrack duties.

Under the hood, we find a clean engine bay featuring a 302 cubic-inch V-8 engine. Outfitted with a roller block, this 5.0 is fed by a single four-barrel Holley carburetor. A true-dual exhaust deals with spent gases, expelling them out a set of good-looking chrome tips. Power is routed through a C4 three-speed automatic transmission before being sent to a 2.79-geared Ford eight-inch rear end, which transmits ponies to the pavement via a set of old-school Magnum 500 wheels shod in 215/70R-15 Cooper Cobra tires.
