Here's the ultimate tough compact truck. After all, this 1988 Toyota Pickup is the kind of 4x4 that has a nearly indestructible reputation. To find one so well preserved/presented makes for the perfect mix of nostalgia and daily driver appeal.
Not only is the reputation of this truck tough, but it's looks are quite intimidating, too. The hood has a hint of a power bulge, the fenders are flared wide, and the stance is nice and tall (making the subtle addition of the black tubular step bars quite nice.) You get to see all of this so well because the sheet metal has been respected for the last three decades. There was a more recent professional respray of the original light blue metallic paint. So it does a terrific job of highlighting the well-creased lines of this pickup. But as good as this one looks, it still is ready to work and play as hard as you. That's why there's liner paint in the bed and you have a modern trailer hitch.
The same exceptional level of presentation is found on the inside, too. The door panels, dash, cloth seat, and so much more look original and quite well preserved. The overall condition is a great representation of why these earned a tough-as-nails ... Please ask for the full description.

Description
The overall condition is a great representation of why these earned a tough-as-nails reputation. You will find a few worthwhile upgrades, but overall, this is a very comfortable factory-style look. The sliding rear window provides the kind of old-school truck breezes we all love.
Under the hood is what makes these Toyotas so desirable. The 2.4-liter 22R motor is the backbone on which Toyota has built their reputation for reliability. It's the original motor for the truck, and this is from the few years when fuel injection was offered in this generation. That means you get the reliable reputation mixed with extra efficiently and power. The way this one fires up reaffirms the everlasting nature of a well-maintained Toyota truck, and the five-speed manual transmission gives you full control. The motor's level of originality will make this a true stunner as the market continues to grow nostalgic for these tough Toyotas. But more than just collectable, this pickup has a lot of work and play left in it, too. The two-speed 4x4 transfer case, new Rancho shocks, and new Kenda Kevlar MT tires get you deep into nature. Plus, power steering and front disc brakes make it easy to run around town or the trail.
Complete with owner's manual, this is nostalgia and ability all offered at quite an affordable price. Don't miss your chance, call today!
