FUEL INJECTED 5.7L LS1, 4L60E AUTO, A/C, SHARP INTERIOR & PAINT! COOL 2ND GEN!

Second generation Camaros are red-hot right now and the best ones blend old and new seamlessly - joining the look and feel of a vintage car compounded with the thunder and performance of a late-model. Finished in brilliant Hugger Orange paint, this awesome 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Tribute Restomod also features a powerful 5.7L LS1 motor, a quick-witted 4L60E automatic transmission, and enough spicy details to keep you interested for years.

The body was professionally refinished, and all of the metalwork is beautifully done with a seamless blend of old and new components. We've always been fond of the way bright colors work on high-performance cars, and the handsome Hugger Orange finish keeps this high-performance F-body in the limelight no matter who else shows up. All the unique 2nd Gen Camaro performance details were retained, including front and rear spoilers, a cowl-induction hood, and even 'Z28' badging, which creates a car that Chevy didn't exactly build but easily could have. And even though it wasn't born as an original RS split-bumper car (you can always tell by the placement and shape of the fog/parking lights), the common conversion is to split the front chrome bumper and let ...

And even though it wasn't born as an original RS split-bumper car (you can always tell by the placement and shape of the fog/parking lights), the common conversion is to split the front chrome bumper and let that 'catfish' open wide and devour all competition. Of course, there are those bright white stripes which instantly identify this Camaro as something special as well, and they're the perfect complement to the hot Orange finish. The new paint is very nicely done with first-rate fit and finish, and although it does show a few very minor imperfections that can only be seen upon closer examination, it's still firmly in the top driver-quality range. If you've ever been in-and-out of one of these, you may remember how heavy and big the doors are, so when we saw how neatly these doors line-up on this Camaro without any sagging, we immediately knew this was a muscle car that was built right. Up front there's the aforementioned RS-style conversion with the blacked-out grille, while out back four round taillights and a bright chrome bumper make the second-generation Camaro instantly recognizable from a distance.

A mixture of original equipment with a few choice upgrades greets you inside. The front bucket seats have been fully restored with fresh foam and custom covers that feature supple black leather and orange-and-black Houndstooth inserts that look awesome. The same pattern is continued in the rear seat, sporty blacked-out door panels match the theme, and every single soft piece in this car looks like it was very recently attended to. New black carpets make it look showroom fresh, and the dash pad is unblemished, so it has an OEM feel when you're behind the sporty three-spoke steering wheel. Although the factory instrument bezel is still in place, it's now filled with a full complement of Dakota Digital gauges that were programmed with orange backlights to match the color theme inside and out, and they look great inside the proper "camera case" finish. Other options include a full Vintage Air A/C system that blows cold R134a air through the factory vents, a tilt wheel, and seat belts up front. You also get tunes via a retro-style AM/FM/AUX stereo radio in the center of the dash and the factory center console houses a familiar "horseshoe" shifter to manage the modern overdrive transmission underneath. The rear seats look almost completely unused and you'll note there are Z/28 tailored carpeted floor mats to help keep things tidy. Under that cool deck lid spoiler is a clean trunk finished in spatter paint with zero secrets and enough room to haul all your car show goodies.

But the biggest upgrade in this car is the hardware: a 5.7L LS1 V8 swapped-in from a late-model Corvette. With big horsepower at the ready, the sporty powerplant offers a tantalizing combination of modern tech and retro simplicity. There's a supremely reliable fuel injection system up top, and it breathes easy via a Spectre cold-air intake system and cone filter up front. Modern electronics manage the spark, up front there's a factory-style serpentine belt drive and aluminum radiator with dual electric fans for improved reliability, and behind the high-powered mill is a slick-shifting 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive that totally transforms the car out on the road. Long-tube headers feed into a custom dual exhaust system with chambered mufflers with the most spectacular sound this side of Daytona, and with a beefy driveshaft spinning the heavy-duty 10-bolt rear end out back, it's plenty punchy around town but cruises effortlessly at highway speeds and beyond. There's an upgraded front clip featuring a big sway bar, power front disc brakes, and power steering, and upgraded shocks and bushings give the body plenty of cushion and help set that wicked stance. US Mag chrome wheels punctuate the resto-mod look and they're staggered with grippy 225/45/17 front and 255/45/18 rear performance radials.

Someone spent an awful lot of money on this restomod, endowing it with a classic performance look that stands out of the crowd. We don't often see second-generation Camaros this nice, so don't miss this opportunity, call now!
