COOL! FUEL INJECTED 283 V8, AUTO, PS, PB W/ FRONT DISCS, REALLY SHARP INSIDE/OUT

At first glance, you might be thinking this 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 Deluxe is a nice, but kind of ordinary car. But look a little closer: the bright blue paint is eye-catching, the matching interior is delightfully vintage, and there's a freshly rebuilt SBC drivetrain under the original livery. If you want a Chevelle but you don't want to be like everyone else, perhaps this 4-door 300 is a smarter choice.

A lot of these cars are running around with modern colors on them, but we're big fans of the correct Code F Marina Blue this Chevelle wears. Perfect for the 1960s, it's somewhat low-key but contrasts nicely with the raked stance and oversized rolling stock. The paint job is certainly an older respray (reported to have been re-done in the 1980s) but it's holding up very well, offering a nice shine and luster that's entirely appropriate on the long bodywork, and with great gaps and straight panels throughout you'll never have to make excuses for the driver-quality presentation. There are a few blemishes and certainly some signs of use and age, which isn't surprising, but absolutely nothing will stop you from getting in this car and hitting the local cruise nights. The low-profile looks ... Please ask for the full description.

The low-profile looks of the Chevelle 300 have aged well, and this one has a timeless grace that will always be in fashion. Instead, this one exudes class and dignity, and with a nice rumble from its exhaust, it looks every bit the part of a gentleman's express with a little added pop. All the original trim is still on place, including the straight profile slash down the length of the body, nice chrome bumpers fore and aft, a straight grille, and a set of Chevrolet badges at each end.

The two-tone blue cloth-and-vinyl interior is the right choice with the Marina Blue bodywork, presenting a clean, welcoming overall look that could easily pass for original. Bench seats fore and aft make this a big, comfortable car with room for everyone, and the seat upholstery is very comfortable and presented with correct materials and patterns. Plush blue carpets and original door panels look great with only minor wear to speak of, giving the interior a finished feel that's very easy to live with. The original gauges are still in place ahead of the driver, surrounded by a bright instrument panel that shows none of the usual fading or discoloration, and the digital control panel for the Holley Sniper EFI system was mounted in the center of the dash. An upgraded stereo system works with aftermarket speakers in the doors and package shelf, along with a Rockford Fosgate amplifier mounted in the trunk, and there's plenty of room back there even with full-size bias-ply spare.

As a code 34 car, this Chevelle was born with a V8, and the 283 V8 under the hood could very likely be the original block. Regardless, it was fully rebuilt approximately 1,500 miles ago and is running stronger than ever today. Dressed like a factory piece with Chevy Orange on the block and valve covers, there are no surprises here, just a great-running Chevy small block that's ready to do its job for decades to come. A Holley Sniper electronic fuel-injection system was added for great reliability and responsiveness, and it's tucked underneath an open-element air cleaner with a big aftermarket filter. A modern alternator, fresh plugs and wires, an Optima gel-cell battery, and fresh exhaust manifolds ensure plenty of power without sacrificing its ability to be driven every day, and with power steering and power front disc brakes, it's easy to handle. A fully rebuilt (also approx. 1,500 miles ago) Powerglide automatic transmission shifts cleanly and delivers bulletproof reliability, while the 10-bolt rear end doesn't mind the horsepower. Take a moment to examine the floors, which are exceptionally clean with a fresh dusting of black undercarriage paint that hides nothing. Most of the suspension parts look new, with fresh shock, springs, and even freshly painted axles that look great, and a newer dual exhaust system gives this Chevelle a great V8 voice but doesn't betray this car's otherwise low-key demeanor. American Racing Torque Thrust 'Old Style' wheels have a sporty look that never disappoints, and the 225/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear performance radials offer vastly improved handling.

Just a tidy, no-nonsense Chevelle, albeit one with a great look. Offered with its original window sticker and featuring 85,758 believed actual miles, this recently refreshed A-Body is turnkey and ready to go! Call today!
