A one-owner 1976 Pontiac Trans Am already is enticing. But when you find out that he also took the time to give this red devil a big V8 and a heavy duty transmission, well then, you know you've met the best balance of history and performance – all for a terrific price.
Firethorn Red is the name of that paint you can't take your eyes off of. It's the factory color, and in '76 you wanted something this bold. After all, it was the first year for the fully integrated urethane bumpers that give this Pontiac a uniform appearance of a more modern sports car. Plus, you get the right performance touches like the factory body kit and the bold gold Trans Am script. There's even the shaker hood, fender vents, and full-length rear spoiler. But beyond getting all the iconic components right, this is fundamentally a very nice coupe – including straight body panels and doors that can be closed with confidence. It even has the correct Rally II wheels to make this factory-correct Trans Am package complete.
The tan interior looks great against the fiery red exterior, and the highly original presentation reminds you why it's great to buy a one-owner machine that's averaged less than 1,900 miles ... Please ask for the full description.

But beyond getting all the iconic components right, this is fundamentally a very nice coupe – including straight body panels and doors that can be closed with confidence. It even has the correct Rally II wheels to make this factory-correct Trans Am package complete.
The tan interior looks great against the fiery red exterior, and the highly original presentation reminds you why it's great to buy a one-owner machine that's averaged less than 1,900 miles annually. There are even still provisions for factory air conditioning. Full instrumentation was standard on Trans Ams, including the tach/clock combination. The dials look great set in the aggressive machine-turned instrument panel. Ahead of that the driver gets the unique three-spoke sports steering wheel that's iconic on these T/As. As your right hand grabs the Hurst dual gate shifter, it's an instant reminder of the upgrades under the hood.
On a fiery red T/A, you know you want the top dog motor. That's why it made sense to Pontiac to have the beastly 455ci V8 shoe-horned in the engine bay. This is a '71 block from the true muscle car era, and it was rebuilt less than 10k miles ago. It was also fortified with bored .030 over forged pistons, Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam, Edelbrock intake, and a four-barrel carburetor. And to take full advantage of this powerful package and the Hurst dual gate shifter, the transmission was upgraded to the heavy duty TH475 three-speed automatic. Add in power steering, front disc brakes, and upgraded sway bars front & rear, and this is a terrific anytime muscle machine.
Complete with build receipts and the owner's manual, this is the cool classic that has been enhanced for driving and will always have a story to tell. So at this price, you know you have to hurry if you want to make it yours. Call now!
