This 1977 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser is the perfect mix of vintage and new. After all, this classic 4x4 can still live up to its go-anywhere reputation today thanks to a full restoration and an upgrade to small block V8 power.
The bold blue is a terrific color on this one. After all, it looks quite close to the Voodoo Blue that made Toyota's recent FJ Cruisers so distinctive. This classic FJ40 Land Cruiser has been given plenty of recent investments to make it relevant in modern times. In fact, all the darker elements really highlight the investment in superior 4x4 toughness. It includes the tough metal bumper with integrated bull bar, diamond plate rockers & side steps, and reinforced swing-away rear tire bracket. Plus, those Devino wheels are equal parts style and robustness. Even the high discharge headlight look a bit darker when they're not switched on. When the black folding roof is in place, the whole presentation is almost like a two-tone.

The interior is built for both plenty of function and plenty of comfort. The full Land Cruiser panel has been painted the same exterior blue, and now it has auxiliary gauges to supplement all the vital info. The seats look great wrapped in newer Bestop covers. Plus, you have a center console in-between the front buckets. Not only is this a good place to lock away any valuables, but it also keeps the AM/FM/CD stereo from harm in case it gets muddy out on the trail.
Under the hood is a terrific upgrade to a 350 cubic-inch V8. We love these Toyotas for their near indestructible reputation, and the Chevy small block unit shares that kind of status. At the same time, this upgrade and its four-barrel carburetor offer a huge added helping of extra power and torque. You can control it all thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. But more than just a motor upgrade, this whole setup was invested in to create a superior go-anywhere machine. This includes a lifted stance, BDS shocks, Toyota two-speed transfer case, front disc brakes, and Nitto Trail Grappler tires with deep grooves.
Here's an international symbol for toughness that has been upgraded to go beyond its unbreakable reputation. This is everything you love about a Land Cruiser with plenty of extra power, too. Don't let it slip away. Call now!
