It's hard to find a more desirable Chevy muscle car than a 1972 Chevelle convertible in full SS tribute livery. Of course, more than just history you want this because of it's terrific color package, solid V8 power, and an exceptional price.
When the sunlight hits this convertible, you can instantly tell there was a nice investment in this one. The extra luster is courtesy of a professional respray, and let's face it, we all love a shiny red convertible. And the SS white painted stripes not only look terrific, but also they go great with the white convertible top for an almost two-tone effect. More than just the stripes, all the right Super Sport pieces are in place for '72, including the grille, badges, and clear front indicators. Plus, this has great bright work in all the best places like the window trim, rocker panels, and iconic Rally wheels. The '72 is also ultra-desirable because this was the final year for many features we loved. By 1973, the cowl induction hood would disappear, and federal regulations would mean never seeing form-fitting chrome bumpers like this again. Also, this was the car that shut the door on Chevelle drop tops. With only around 4,800 produced, this ... Please ask for the full description.

By 1973, the cowl induction hood would disappear, and federal regulations would mean never seeing form-fitting chrome bumpers like this again. Also, this was the car that shut the door on Chevelle drop tops. With only around 4,800 produced, this final version is quite rare.
While we love the way the white top coordinates with the interior, it gets even better. With just the flip of a switch, the roof lowers to reveal a full white interior. These might have been the midsize Chevys back in the day, but there's plenty of room for you to carry all your friends and family with the two rows of bench seats. Plus, everyone can stay entertained thanks to the updated AM/FM stereo with digital tuner. There are even provisions for air conditioning. But a convertible like this is really about the driver. That's why you get a grippy NK4 steering wheel that gives you a commanding view of the old-school speedometer that's about as long as the horizon.
The engine bay looks great with the bold orange block, polished air topper, and matching valve covers all radiating within the glossy blackness. More than just look good, this is Chevy's trusty and powerful 350 cubic-inch V8. Plus, it's even a fresher crate motor. It inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor, and the Cherry Bomb mufflers on the dual exhaust give this a hint of muscle car satisfaction without waking the neighbors. If this sounds like the recipe for a great drop top cruiser, then you'll really enjoy features like the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes.
This is a rare and interesting convertible that has been prepared to be a lot of fun. Now's your chance to enjoy the last great Chevelle droptop. Call now!
