QUALITY BUILD, LT-4 5.7L V8, 700R4 AUTO, A/C, PWR STEER/BRAKE, SHOW/CRUISR CAR!!

Two icons come together as this 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible has the LT4 heart of a Corvette Grand Sport. And because this special project was a father and son four-year labor of love, you get exceptional fit and finish on this loaded, unique, and A/C-cooled classic.

The first question you're likely to ask is, does this vintage convertible looks as good in person as it does in the pictures? The answer is no...It's better! The car strikes a balance between iconic classic and all-out hot rod, and the paint starts off this impression perfectly. The two-tone blue is exactly the kind of thing offered by the factory in '56, but the metallic element in both hues give it a deep luster like you're spending the day on the ocean. The white folding roof coordinates with this like the crest of the ocean waves. We all know the best shine comes from all that iconic chrome and sweeping stainless trim. The '56 Bel Air had arguably the best trim with the unique sporty spear that ran the full length of the car. Tri-Five people know this looks, so it's important to get it so right on this super straight body. But more than just traditional pieces, this one has a style all its own. You can see ...

You can see it in big details like the wire wheel covers, to small things, like the wagon rear bumper that moves the plate to the chrome and allows the trunk to be butter-smooth.

Inside is more appreciation for Bel Air history with plenty of modern flair. You see it immediately in the seats. The color was specifically chosen to match the exterior light blue, which is a great '50s touch, and it's also a true sign of a thoughtful build. These seats follow the correct '56 pattern, but those houndstooth inserts give them more comfort and a cool connection to Chevy's later performance machines. And with matching custom door panels and carpeting that matches the exterior dark blue, you know this car could win awards on its color coordination alone. But more than just look terrific, you can also see that this drop top is loaded with far more features then were ever available in the '50s. Keyless entry, power locks, power seat, power mirrors, power vent windows, tilt steering, and a AM/FM/cassette stereo with a 12-disc CD changer integrated in the fully finished trunk. But your favorite features will be the power windows and power convertible top. Together they mean you never have to leave the driver's seat to go from enclosed luxury to a wind-in-your-hair experience. With air conditioning vents expertly integrated into the custom dash, you can enjoy this open-top experience long into the summer season.

We all love the Tri-Five Chevys for introducing us to the legendary small block V8. The father/son duo that built this took the small block to the next level. We've never seen a Bel Air like this before, but the red glow from the engine is the unmistakable sign of LT4 Corvette power. This fuel-injected Grand Sport powerhouse inhales a little deeper thanks to a cold air intake, and it exhales with authority from the glasspack-style dual exhaust. Any time you really want to elevate the intimidation factor, all you need to do is remove those exhaust cutoffs behind the front wheels. So just like the rest of this car, it's the perfect mix of modern convenience and old-school flair. The versatility of the LT4 is enhanced further by the four-speed automatic transmission that's stout enough for power driving, and also always ready for overdrive cruising. In fact, this classic Bel Air feels like quite a modern machine going down the road thanks to the upgrades like the adjustable air ride in the rear, a limited slip differential, and sway bars front & rear. Add in power steering, front disc brakes, and cruise control, and you soon realize this is the classic you want to take everywhere – near or far.

This is the tight-handling and award-worthy classic that was a labor of love to build. These kinds of cars rarely leave a family collection, so don't miss your opportunity. Call now!
