For anyone who remembers the iconic GMC Syclone, it was the ultimate sleeper vehicle, capable of embarrassing sports cars that cost twice as much. In something of a tribute of sorts, this 1986 Chevrolet S-10 Tahoe V8 takes everything we loved about the sinister Syclone and ratchets things up several notches to make it even more exciting than the truck it is reminiscent of. Fully repainted in a bright red, complete with twin black stripes along its cowl hood, and flush rear roll pan, this muscle truck doesn't try to hide the fact that it is a little more than your average S-10 pickup.

Inside, we find a two-tone red and black interior that features a trick three-spoke Grant GT steering wheel that sits before a video game-style aftermarket digital dashboard. Mounted separately is a gigantic analog Autogauge tachometer that is almost as entertaining as the upgraded Sony AM/FM/CD/Aux head unit. The single vinyl bench seat is a full replacement, making it feel almost new in terms of comfort, while the short bed out back comes with a soft cover to allow for added covered cargo storage.

Under the hood is where this little truck shows off its colossal power. Unlike the turbo-six the Syclone used, this S-10 uses a massive 383 cubic-inch stroker V-8 engine. Topped with a single Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor that feeds into an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, powered by an MSD electronic ignition and exhaling through a dual-exhaust via a set of shorty headers. That power is funneled through a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and onto a ten-bolt rear end that sends those ponies out to a set of fifteen-inch Cragar Dragstar wheels shod in big 275/60R-15 Firehawk rubber while staggered 215/70R-15 tires handle steering duties up front.

While it should not be a surprise that this 1986 Chevrolet S-10 Tahoe V8 brings new meaning to the word "haulin'," it also has a front suspension comprised of an A-arm, coils, and springs, while a leaf spring and traction bar are set up in the back to allow it to handle better than you might expect.
