This 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Sunliner is a classic custom cruiser with a big V8, plenty of old-school flair, and offered at quite a nice price.
Ford has fun with the Galaxie XL's design in the early '60s. The intricate grille, afterburner taillights, and full-length trim that seamlessly wrapped around the front end made it a standout. Overall, the low, wide, and sleek look really captured the era and made it timelessly cool. In fact, that's probably why someone made a mid-life investment in the custom features you see now. This includes the louvered hood, spotlights, wire wheel covers with spinners, headlight eyelids, etched glass, and pinstripe accents all around the car. This all has a hint of a worn-in feeling that looks like you've been cruising this way for over half a century, and so it makes this feel like the convertible you never gave up all those years ago.
With the flip of a switch, the black folding roof powers down to reveal a tasteful gray interior. The piping around the seats coordinates with the exterior cream color to provide more of that custom feeling. As a full-sized Ford, you can share this custom classic with plenty of family and friends. But this is also ... Please ask for the full description.

With the flip of a switch, the black folding roof powers down to reveal a tasteful gray interior. The piping around the seats coordinates with the exterior cream color to provide more of that custom feeling. As a full-sized Ford, you can share this custom classic with plenty of family and friends. But this is also fun when it's just you, too. This XL is also about being a premium –level machine that keeps the driver happy. Bucket seats and a center console are part of the upscale XL, and so is the machine-turned dash panels. It's all part of a very period-correct premium feeling.
Pop the hood and you'll see the callouts on the fenders were not lying. The big 390 cubic-inch V8 fills the engine bay with big blue oval muscle. It looks great with the bright air topper and Thunderbird valve covers. This is a Z-code car, so the displacement is quite correct for this one. With a four-barrel carburetor, the big motor really lets this Galaxie Sunliner run the boulevard effortlessly. Even the dual exhaust makes a powerful sound without losing this car's cruising attitude. Plus, the three-speed automatic transmission and power steering make the total package quite comfortable going down the road.
Large, interesting, and a heck of a price – this is the classic Ford that delivers a unique classic car experience. Don't miss out, call today!
